POPLAR CEMETERY MCGUIRES
Ma'am: I was in Poplar Springs Cemetery just the day before yesterday. I have a bit of a problem but I don't think its a very difficult one.

The graves of:

Carrie Lee Wright McGuire: d. October 24, 1919
Infant Daughter McGuire: 1919 - 1919

...may very well be buried in unmarked graves.

Poplar Springs is a relatively small cemetery, perhaps 300 graves to it, I estimate. There is a McGuire family plot, one in the older side of the cemetery and another one on the newer side. I did not take photographs this trip (and wish I had). There is a stone of McGuires who death dates are about 1938 or 39 and I do not have their names readily available to me (my mistake).

I spoke to the church today and received some location help, but its not precise.

Could you provide for me any other siblings that Carrie Lee may have had who possibly passed maybe twenty years beyond her passing? I will return to the cemetery next Saturday or Sunday armed with that information and get as close to the possible graves as possible for you.

If you'll give me yet another week, I believe I can get you a photograph close enough to say "this is more than likely it." The church cemetery records unfortunately did not record that far back or are faulty. The cemetery assistance I received today said that it was not common practice to mark a grave if a baby had been still born or perhaps did not live long enough to be named.

In short, I'm seeking an unmarked grave. I'm willing to go back there, but it'll be April 30th or May 1st before I am able to.

I saw where you posted a flower for Grannie, & she was your Great Aunt. Date of posting was 12 April 2010. My mom, Joyce Jarriel Hagans was the daughter of Annie & Garnie Jarriel. We are now the keeper of our ancestors. Mom has passed as well as Daddy. My mom, Joyce Jarriel Hagans and my dad are in Lower Lotts Creek Cemet. in Bullock County.

Any info you can send my way will be certainly appreciated.

James F. Brown photo
Hi. You added a photo to my memorial for James F. Brown Memorial# 64793077, but I just realized that there is a duplicate memorial that was created before mine. If you would like to upload your photo to the original Memorial# 53145826, I would be happy to delete the one I created so that there aren't 2 for the same person. Thanks.

Thank you so much for the information. I am doing my best to work from and old manuscript that I have been given to do this revision for my brother-in-law. So any and all new information I get is taken into consideration and corrections are made.

Can you creat memorials for Henry and Nancy? It would be nice to link their children to them.

RE: Henry Brock and Susan Woods
I am so glad to meet you. I have worked on Henry's line for years. Someone along time ago confused him with my Washington Marion Brock who was the son of William and Temperance Gay Brock. I think I have finally convinced most people that Henry and Marion are not the same person. My Marion and most of his children went to Arkansas in about 1883. I know that one lady still has my Marion buried in Kansas Cemetery.
I found Henry's death certificate in Georgia's Virtual Vault. It lists his parents as Henry and Nancy Turner Brock. Do you know when and where Henry and Nancy died?

My e-mail address is trish9623@aim.com

Do you have Henry/Annie's Confederate Pension file?

You are so very welcome. I love helping family find their loved ones. I actually found two of my cousins graves while looking for your family that day. I was unaware that they were even buried in that cemetery. :)

I apologize for that miscue! It has been fixed and thanks so much for letting me know. The Pauls were posted near the end of a five hour photo touch up/posting session and my brain must have wandered. ;)
