|Linda Simmons||Fairville Cemetery|
Just noticed your name on a post of Fairville Cemetery. I have at least 3 ancestors buried there, and would like to know who is now in charge of or owner of the property.
I contacted the Saline Co Commission over a year ago about the severe neglect of the cemetery, and asked for assistance for getting help with upkeep, or permission for restoration work. Made some phone calls trying to get information on cemetery records to no avail. I assume authority lies with whoever is the trustee of record, but don't really know how it works.
Thought you might also have ancestors buried there, or some historical interest in Fairville. if you have any ideas, please let me know.
Thanks for your time,
Linda (Hutcherson) Simmons

Re: Memorial #s: 137927356 (Martha J Ballinger); 46141319 (Isaac Sewell Parsons); 46141319 (Catherine Hill Parsons); 126078844 (Anna M Clutterbuck Parsons).
I realize only Martha J Ballinger has your ID attached, but the others are connected to her. It's possible I might have contributed to this mix-up as I seem to remember that I added Martha's maiden name & I do have Isaac & Catherine Parsons in my FT, although I never added Find A Grave records to Isaac, Catherine, or Flora, but if so I certainly apologize.
Martha J Ballinger and her husband John Henry Burruss are connected to the Parsons family, but as in-laws. Their son Joseph Franklin Burruss, Memorial # 137927390, married Flora Parsons, Memorial# 137927430.
I will contact others who added these Memorials with this same message, and post it publicly.
Again, I apologize for any part I may have played in publishing incorrect information.

|cataholic4ever||RE: Salem Christian Church Cemetery Duplicates|
I sent them to edit at Find A Grave to see if they could merge them. That way your info and pictures would be there with my family links.
What do you think?
This cemetery has been a hard one to get corrct info on. Thank you for going there and taking photos.
Happy New Year!

Hi, I see you posted a photo of Mt. Zion Cemetery in Saline County, MO. Can you give me directions to the cemetery? I am a Primitive Baptist Historian and ran across the photo while searching for information on a minister names Elder Hiram Hoff. I appreciate the work you have put in and would like permission to copy your photograph for my files.

|Hays King||Craig Hays Cemetary|
Thank you so much for photographing the Craig-Hays cemetery.My 3rd great grandparents are buried there. I was heartbroken to see your recent photograph of it's sad condition. Just heartbroken. There remain just 9 adult descendants of Charles (that I know of). His surviving son, James, moved away from Saline County as did the care of this cemetery.

|Stephen Jaeger||John D Stipes|
Thanks for what you do for Find A Grave. I have seen many photos of remote cemeteries with your name attached. I have learned so much from Find A Grave that I became a contributor myself.
John D Stipes is my 2nd great grandfather, (and I am not asking for management), I wanted to make some suggested edits. His birth date varies from 5 June 1830 to 10 June 1828. Source Ancestry, Roots Web, and Family Search. Regardless of the date he was born in Harper's Ferry Virginia (now West Virginia). The Slater Rustler published his obituary and list his birth date as June 10, 1828. The published family birth date is in 1828 (Saline County and Slater History books). He died in Slater.
He was married to Ann E Dawes Stipes and had 9 children. He later marred Sue Kirby, she is buried at Slater City Cemetery.
I will work on adding John and Ann to as many of their children's memorials as I can.
Thanks and keep up the great work!

Not a problem. I have been a Glass Engraving Artist for several years using Dremel tools. Since last November, I Have began to carve stone. One of my goals this year is to ''touch-up'' several of my family head stones. Once I perfect that, I am considering offering my service to the public. It sounds like the stones you are looking at could use a sprucing up too.

|Cynthia Farmer-Nold||Leonard Mizer photo for Fairview, Sweet Springs|
You dropped one of your wonderful tombstone photos in a phantom cemetery on a duplicate page. This is where you put it.
and this is where it can go since Leonard H. Mizer was listed first in the only cemetery in the Sweet Springs city limits that the town owns and maintains: Fairview Cemetery.
What's more you could add that photo to Leonard Mizer's wife's page, Mary E. (Van Buskirk) Mizer in Fairview Cemetery, Sweet Springs.
I have some tombstones to photograph in Fairview as soon as the rest of a family's overdue stones go in. I hope you don't beat me to it, but heh, you're good. Note that Fairview has more than 2,800 burials and the misnamed Sweet Springs city cemetery fewer than 20. Bob Blackburn's Fairview page for Mizer was entered first.

|Cynthia Farmer-Nold||Double listed names in two Salem cemeteries|
You got photos and someone posted location of Salem Christian Church Cemetery. But in my on line look at small Saline County cemeteries I find confusion here. In 2009 another person posted some of the same early burials under Salem United Church Cemetery. Joseph C. Gorrell (1868-1891) is just one example. The other cemetery did not have location posted. Can you find some way to resolve this double listing problem? Did the church change names at some point in history? Was one name official and the other casual? Are there really two separate cemeteries? Please have a look at the other cemetery and see if you can help stem the confusion before more people post later burials to either one, not knowing where they are. Thanks and link to the other:

A memorial listed as MADDOX at Zoar Bapt Ch Cem has a picture of a stone with what appears the dates. Could you send me a better picture or what is written on the stone. Very Truly, Steve Maddox

Martin - Thanks for your work for Find A Grave.
I have created a memorial for Philip & Margaret Conrad (Nash) Wellborn in Zoar Cem.
Not sure they are buried here but seems to be the most logical spot. Their only daughter and child is buried there - Rebecca (Wellborn) Kennedy.
Do your records show anything of Philip Wellborn - He was listed as the post master in the 1860 Marshall, Arrow Rock, Saline Co., census. Thanks!

|Linda Lipkind||Ambrose Haggard|
I am wondering if my ggrandfather Ambrose Haggard is the one buried in the Rose Valley Cemetery, Saline Co, MO. He died 12 Mar 1879 and the cemetery was established in 1879. His wife Ann Eliza Chinn Haggard is in the 1880 census of Liberty Twp, Saline Co. If you are near there I would really appreciate a photo of the grave. The memorial by Dexter Taylor states that the grave is that of a baby. I am wondering if the stone says Baby? If so, it is the wrong Haggard. Thank you so much.
