Don Sharp
Mrs. M.M. Rhudy
I wanted to let you know that I was going to claim your photo request for Mrs. Rhudy; but there is a problem. She was listed in the Carroll County Cemeteries, 1983 on page 538; but when the C. C. Genealogy Society did a cemetery survey in 2005 her grave was not located in the Carrollton City Cemetery. There may have been a funeral home marker on her grave in 1983; but no grave marker was located in 2005. If you can give me some more info. like her husband's name or maybe her parent's name, I will see if they are buried in the cemetery and if any unmarked graves are located near those graves.
Thanks!
Don

so glad to help...I spent most of the summer cleaning and photographing that area of the old part of the cemetery so found it in my file easily... just haven't had time to load many of them.

Shephard Grave Photos
You're welcome, Shelley. All of the headstones in that cemetery were photographed and uploaded to Findagrave. There weren't many. I was told by a Barfield relative that there are many unmarked graves. Also, there is a second cemetery up the creek and whoever did the survey mixed up the 2 cemeteries. They are both back in the woods & difficult to get to. I will be going to the 2nd one as soon as I can.

Caleb Lindsey
Your welcome. I try to be as detailed as I can when there is a dispute about a relationship. I needed to prove to another contributor that Caleb Lindsey (1850-1895) of Alabama was not Caleb's son.

I am sorry to report that there are no stones for Henry or William Nussbaum in Cave Hill. I have entered a picture of the location where they are buried.

RE: Tom C. Cheney
Hi Shelley,

I just posted pictures to FIND A GRAVE for Nell Cheney, John L. Cheney, William Reed Cheney, Lucille Cheney Miller and Benjamin Robert Miller. I created the memorial for William Reed Cheney since there wasn't one.

Peter Morgan
Harriet Jane Andrews
Hi Shelley,

Can you tell me what information you used to create the Harriet Jane Andrews memorial (35822159)?

The reason I ask is that there is a Harriet J Andrews who was the wife of Seth Andrews who is buried with him in Riverview Cemetery. Her maiden name was Jones.

Will you check out the photo on Seth's memorial (11459686) and let me know if you should change the memorial you created or if I should create a new memorial for Harriet Jones Andrews.

Thanks.

Peter

Could you read the information enough. Yesterday I worked on the marker a little and you can read it better - I think - I will have my daughter-in-law to down load it and I will reload the picture tomorrow. Believe he was a Dr.

If you need - This weekend or next week we will be mowing out there - I found that a piece of syrofoam makes the grave inscription more readable. I can try and get a better print.

My pleasure - thought I was going to have to tell you that it was a lost grave. The people over the cemetery kept telling me where it is located and it wasn't there but further down and up a couple rows.

It thrills me when someone can get a piece of information thru me.

Any thing else let me know.

Thanks
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your words of kindness. I started doing this for, what I thought were the right reasons, to keep the memory of people alive, and it is when I get words like yours that remind me of why I started doing this
PS, I am jealous, Arizona is my favorite state!

Frank and Bertha Shuey photos
I saw your photo requests for Frank and Bertha Shuey. I was at the cemetery today and did not find any markers for them. The Kidder county cemetery book lists Bertha as being buried next to T.C. Shuey, so I figure at one time she had a marker, but I do not find one anymore. I poked around the area and couldn't find anything. The book says Frank is in an unmarked grave. There are visible unmarked graves on each side of T.C.'s marker, so I am making the assumption that Frank and Bertha are buried on each side of him.

Best regards,

Brian Backes
