Hadfield LIne
Nancy,

Whoops! I see I've already contacted you. So much to research, so little time. Sometimes things overlap. I also do my paternal line which keeps me quite busy. Occasionally I have to take a break and go on my maternal line. Right now I think I'll take a nap. (smile)

Have a great day!

Ron

Hadfield-McClausland Line
Hello Nancy,

I am a first cousin twice removed of John Lindsey Hadfield (my mother's side of my family). I have also done extensive research on her side of the family. If you would like to share family information feel free to contact me.

Have a great day!

John Ervin (1916 - 1955) Photo Request
Hi Nancy,

I took a photo of John H. Ervin's headstone at New Cathedral Cemetery last week. The dates on the memorial you created are Mar 22, 1916 to May 1, 1955, but the dates on the headstone are 1913 to 1955. Do you think headstone is a match for your memorial but with a mistake in one to the dates?

McCausland History
Nancy,

Good to hear from you again. I just got off a six day work schedule. That's another problem, work often interfered with my genealogy research. Of course one has to work to make a living too so I have to balance the two.
I'll let you know when I come across that McCausland information that Sarah McCausland loaned to me. I look forward to sharing information with you.

Ron

Genealogy History
Nancy,

So good to hear from you. I find researching my family history to be perhaps the most rewarding past-time I have at this time of my life. My only regret is that I wish I had started it sooner, while some of my older relatives were still alive.

Thank you for your offer to transfer some of my relatives memorials to me. I may take you up on that offer. I am especially interested in the Hadfields, which is my maternal line. A Hadfield brother and sister (Thomas and Hannah) married a McCausland brother and sister which I think is so interesting. I guess back in those times families had a small radius of travel because the same thing happened on my paternal side where a Tipton brother and sister married a Bailey brother and sister.

When I find my McCausland information I will send it to you. Did you know I was good friends With Alan McCausland? He was a wonderful man and he died much too soon.

Take care,

Ron

RE: Hadfield-McClausland Line
So good to hear from you Nancy. I have a copy of a book somewhere (I don't know right now) that I borrowed from Sarah McClausland that takes the McClausland line back to Ireland. When I find it I'll contact you.

Take care,

Ron Tipton

Hadfield-McClausland Line
Hi Nancy!

Good to see someone is maintaining the McClausland line. I am maintaining the Hadfield line. Hadfield brother and sister married McClausland brother and sister. Hannah Hadfield married Emma's brother John McClausland. My mother was Betty Hadfield Tipton. She was the daughter of George Lincoln Hadfield, Sr.

Harry Palmer Arlington Cemetery
Hello Nancy, Just wanted to mention that I input an obit on Harry's memorial. If you click on the photo you will see the date and the newspaper that it came from. One other thing, I noticed that you only put a photo of the names on the marker. It would be much better to have the entire marker as well as the smaller photo of the names. Just a thought. Have a nice day. Joz

Section 148 Lot 145 is right next door to my Great Great Grandfather in section 146. I'll take a look next for William next time I go to clear the weeds and report back to you, hopefully with picture, but Moriah is a mess. Regards- Rob Hobdell

Thomas & Catherine Jones?
Hi Nancy, not far from where Joseph Thomas & Isabelle Jones were buried are Thomas (1861-1919) and Catherine (1870-1926) Jones. I took pictures in case there is a connection but could not make out their specific plot number in Section F of Evergreen-Washelli, Seattle, WA. Let me know and I'm happy to share the photos.

Hi Nancy,

It was just a quick ride to the Common Cemetery and no problem finding her gravestone. Glad to help out.

if you can find what lettered section he is in, i can walk it to see if i can locate his plot, you just need to call the cemetery and find what lettered section he is in

Fernwood - McCausland
Hi Nancy,

I just uploaded a photo for Ruth. There is no other stone in this plot for Arthur or the stillborn child. Do you want this photo uploaded for those requests or shall I just remove the requests for those two since there isn't a separate stone. Also, would you like the photo uploaded for William? I see that there is already a photo but that it's fairly blurry.

McCausland's - Arlington
I went again today looking for your McCausland requests and cannot find any of them. I did finally find Viola's stone and see that someone else found it first. Is Naomi in the same plot? If so, her grave is definitely not marked as there were no other McCausland's or Euler's in the direct area.

You both are very welcome. I did see a different Elmer McCausland and his wife, I forget her name though. If you are interested in that photo also just let me know.

I found the name of the last grave I could not make out from the pic, and it is close to one of your surnames, Doherty. Ann Eliza, aged 17 years. Hope this helps

Wow, I have been to Beverly Cemetery before. Did you know there are 4 Congressional Medal Of Honor recipients buried there?I am very glad to help. The cemetery today was so beautiful. I have a little unfinished business there tho.I could not read one grave from my photo, and the first name of a Hollingsworth. And I could not verify the graves of 3 others. There is a phone number on the gate of a lady with info, I will call her Monday. Glad I could help

RE: Fernwood Cemetery
You're welcome, Nancy! One thing I did not mention: they do sometimes have a record of whether a grave is marked or not. You have to ask though. Good luck!

Fernwood Cemetery
Hi! Fernwood has an office staff that is helpful and friendly. If you were to call or write and request the grave location along with anyone else buried there, they will send it to you. This cemetery is huge, and not all graves are marked. Also, by getting a list of those buried with the family member you've posted, you may discover more family. Good luck, and if you get an exact location, please post it.
