Nancy Norman w/o John T
Had any luck finding Nancy Norman, wife of John T. Norman? Her CSA pension application says she was born May 5, 1836. Must be buried in Sardis Cem. with husband. ??? See pension application on line, courtesy of GA virtual vault (Archives).

You've left me a couple of messages asking that I update her headstone photo with a newer photo. As much as I hasten to accommodate you, sir, I have no immediate plans to dash to Paris from Tulsa. Considering it is football season, my love for the West Virginia Mountaineers and Oklahoma's two teams prohibits me from entering "Baja Oklahoma" anytime soon.

Hays Markers/Monongahela Cem.
I did take pictures of the Hays markers but my camera screwed up and I have to go back and take them again. Hopefully later on this week I will take the pictures for you.

Ken,

See their memorials for the updated photos. The inscription simply reads 'children of William J. and N.V Maxwell."

Ken,

No trouble at all. I did go to Oakwood today but did not get a single shot. I got soaking wet from a thunderstorm. =D

Ahhh well I will try again tomorrow.

Norman,

I will do what I can to make it clearer. It is a very wide slab and is faded pretty bad. Will see about cleaning it after it rains (less water for me to carry), perhaps that will make it clearer.

John Milner and Isaac Eskew
Hi,
I have posted photos for Rev. John Milner and Isaac Eskew. The stone monument for John Milner is very worn and it was impossible to get a sharp photo of the inscription, but I posted one that is a little clearer than the one that is already on the memorial page so that you can see the name. I also posted a photo of the new foot marker for him and a shot of the family plot. Feel free to copy the photos for your records. After you do, please let me know as I want to remove the full length shot of the stone marker as I do not want to offend the person who posted the original photo. I would be happy to email copies to you also.

As you will see in the photos for Isaac Eskew, his monument has fallen over. He is buried behind the Milner/Turner family plot. I have included a photo of the area.

So glad you liked the photos. I thought the grave markers were unique with the DAR (hers) and Methodist Minister (his) attachments. Glad to have helped! Carol

R. C. Norman of Colquitt co, ga.
Glad to transfer him to you. I am very distantly related to the Nancy Poole Bridges you will see when you track this one back. Nancy Poole Bridges was a sister to my great grandfather Thomas Jefferson Poole of Schley County, Ga.
I have worlds of Poole information, but have linked most of it on Find A Grave already. Good to meet you .Thanks for being interested! I hope you will add old photos so I can see what the Normans looked like! thanks
