 | Odoms Hi Jay, I was out at Rosemont cemetery today and took pictures of two of your Odoms (Marion & Ella). There is a third Odom buried with them that might be their son (judging from the ages). John Isaac Odom.Added by Heidi Brown on Apr 06, 2013 12:52 PM | |

 | Eliason Hello Jay, Hope all is well in Cache Valley. Haven't been back since dad passed in 2009. Think I would be very sad to drive past the folk's house there at 37 East Center, Hyde Park. Lots of memories between them and the Follett's across the street. We lost 2 members of our family last summer and are buried in the family plot at the Hyde Park Cemetery. My youngest brother's wife passed in July in Sandy and 11 days later my 1/2 brother passed in Provo. I have made the mother link to this memorial. Take care.Added by tribe hunter on Mar 13, 2013 6:25 PM | |

 | Ira Hicks #105242283 Jay, Mr. and Mrs Hicks owned the grocery store in Medicine Mound TX. It now houses the Downtown Medicine Mound Museum that was created by their daughter Myna. I am on the board at the museum and for the most part, run the operations. I am still going through years of material Myna had there, but have located a number of photos of her family...many not identified...some genealogy work, newspaper obits, etc. I don't know how much info you are interested in...but we do have quite a bit. There is also a book of our local history titled, "Our Stories, Legend of the Mounds. the Medicine Mound Settlers' Community Scrapbook". If you will google this book, then click on Texas Portals of History, it will come up. The Hicks family is all through this book and the family story is on page 153. BTW, Mrs. Hicks is also buried next to Mr Hicks. I didn't set it up in order that you can more easily manage it.
I believe Mrs Hicks was part of our local Holmes family, and there is material on them as well.
If you are interested in a lot of detail on this family, I would suggest a trip to the museum if you are close by. Museum is open by appointment. We are on facebook as Downtown Medicine Mound Museum. Also, I am a Gibson! LOL

 | RE: Benjamin Dennis Streeter & Adaline Niles Children The 1880 census lists Harvey's parents both being born in England (Eng). Both Benjamin and Adaline were born in Vermont (Vt). That is probably why the legend on the picture says adopted son.
Has me intrigued.
