|Bill E. Doman||Qualman Requests|
Hi: I have located both Memorials and made the transfers. You might be aware that neither of your Find A Grave ID numbers were correct for these but I found them after searching. Have a good day.

I feel horrible about this but, while working on the site earlier today, I introduced a bug that accidentally attributed all new photo requests to me! I have since gone back and corrected the issue and adjusted the credit for the photo request, but I am not able to re-generate the email that you received. To thank the correct photographer, please click on their name under the photo and leave them a message or send them an email. Thanks and sorry for the mistake!

As this is part of my family I do the research. And try to get all of the information for other researchers of the family so if they are new at it they will have a good base to start with.

Where it says FAMILY LINK in your memorial, click on that, and you can add spouse(s), year(s) of marriage, and parents. If you look at this one, #51038388, you will see where I have added a link to my father's dearly-loved stepfather, in the space left for the marker inscription. I could have added that in the biography space, also, but I already have a lot in there. The instructions on how to make a hot link like that to the other person's memorial are in the HELP WITH FIND A GRAVE section in the ACTIONS list on the left side of your screen.
Go to that page by clicking. Then, under the heading SUBMITTING INFORMATION / CREATING MEMORIALS go to the paragraph entitled HOW DO I ADD A LINK FROM ONE MEMORIAL TO ANOTHER? That paragraph has the instructions I used to add my step-grandfather to my father's memorial as a hot link.
The usual way for children to be linked to grandparents is by following hot links from their parents to the parents of their parents. However, if you are missing a generation in links, or want to do it the other way, that is fine, too. (Or if you have dearly-loved step-parents to add, also.)
If you just want to add them as a list of names, you can do that in the biography section. There are many memorials which are set up like that. I expect you have seen them. You can type all sorts of information in the biography section.
If you want to view random memorials to sample styles, click on the HONORING picture, in the upper right hand corner of the search page. From that memorial, you can click the left or the right arrows to see other memorials which have been added to the STROLL.
There are strict requirements on how to get a memorial added to the STROLL. They are also in the HELP WITH FIND A GRAVE section. Some of the memorials you set up today that I looked at are nearly ready to be eligible to be added.
If you have any other questions I could answer, feel free to ask. I believe that we are here in Findagrave to help each other, and I am happy to try.

I am going back this weekend as I have more requests so I will take another look for you. Cross your fingers. I like this cemetery but unfortunately there are a lot of stones missing or broken. I wish there was some way to restore them. Anyway, I'll look again this weekend.

|Rachel Francis||RE: Andrew Jackson Ivy|
Hi! You are so very welcome! Happy to help! I did find it odd that she was not added. I ran out of daylight because it took us so long to find the cemetery. There is an old mapping of all the plots there. It is a VERY well taken care of cemetery out in the middle of nowhere. There area a lot of Ivy's there. I am not sure about the boy scouts in the area since I am not from that area. I can check it out though. If not, my husband and I can go back. We were planning to go back soon since I am missing two photo requests and just didn't have the time. I will go to the library and see what I can find on her. As far as adding her, all you do is go to his memorial, click on Center Cemetery and you can add a name. It will also let you link them. I will do some research and a little digging to see what I find and pass the information to you. Have a great weekend!

Hello. Regarding your photo request at Restland. Requests are not likely to be filled without plot information. As the cemetery is over 400 acres with multiple mausoleums, this information is pertinent. The office does not have time to look up info and is now taking person info from non-family members for HIPPA purposes. If you'd like your request to be filled, please call them at 972-238-7111 - Hours are from 9am-6pm CST Monday-Sunday. You can also send them an e-mail requesting plot info by visiting their contact page at: http://www.restlandfuneralhome.com/home/contact_us.html -- If you're able to, please revise the persons profile page with known plot info so that volunteers can proceed. Thank you and have a good day.

I usually do a better job of keeping the requests up to date at Fair View, but this summer has been too hot and humid. Even this Sunday I had to go early because of the heat

I have to make a correction. Bertha is beside a large stone for her first husband Wm. Nelson Palmer. The Palmer next to Ezra Kidder Parrish is her daughter Lela. I have posted pictures of all of these headstones. Her oldest daughter Zella (Fortner) is also in Hermosa cemetery.
