Thanks again. It doesn't state who her husband was does it? I'm more interested in the Saylors...

Cora Saylor
Thanks again for your efforts.... I don't have ancestry at the moment but it's strange her death cert date is so far off from the headstone... I'll have to go to the library and do some more research. Thanks again.

Thanks for the image of Cora's headstone, I was hoping to confirm birth/death dates to what the memorial states (because we really don't know where the information came from) Unfortunately the lickens seem to be covering the dates or it was too shady. I also wonder who she was buried next to. If you remember anything, please let me know. Thanks again.

Your adopted cemetery....
I too am doing the same thing in my home town. I am not related to anyone who is in there but I don't want them to be forgotten as a lot of them are vets with heavy over growth and have to be completely uncovered. A tip if you don't already know that I have found very helpful is if you can't read the headstone you can use plain old water and a "soft" brush and most of the years of dirt and grim will come right off. I use a water sprayer that I got from the Dollar General for $12 as well as the scrub brushes that were only a $1. If you want to preserve them for a long time as well as continue the cleaning you can use D2. It's a cleaner that they use on the monuments and it continues to clean over the years all by its self. It can be purchased online. It takes very little and goes a long way.

It's a great thing that you are doing with the "adoption" Thank you!

Alonzo Yeazel
Words alone can not say how thankful I am for his and his wife's headstone picture. This is my 3rd great uncle on my mothers side who I just discovered. I know very little about her and just recently found out her maiden name. I knew of her mother and her maiden name but not her fathers. The Yeazel's are her mothers side. It's like Christmas when you get new info or pictures! Do you happen to know if there are any other around them?
Many many heart filled THANKS!

Carol Conner Donovan
RE: Sarah Austin Conner
Michael, once again you brought such joy...finding the Conner's at Bellbrook Cemetery! Years ago I contacted the Gene. Soc. there trying to get someone to go a photograph them but nothing happened. So I am so grateful that you are there and putting them up on Find A Grave. I still believe that William Conner (1799-1886) & wife, Sarah Austin-Conner (1801-1895) are buried there: probably in unmarked grave or a stone whose engraving has disintegrated. Nevertheless, I thank you for what you have done. Hope to meet you when I move back home. Carol

Sarah Austin Conner
Michael, appreciate your searching in Bellbrook Cemetery for Sarah Conner d. 1895. I have several records (Obits 2 Bellbrook Moon articles) that state she was buried next to her husband, William (d. 6 MAY 1886)in Bellbrook Cem. It is possible that the stone has deteriorated so much that it is no longer legible. Perhaps William's stone is there? Perhaps they were buried in same plot with only his stone? If you could check again for William that would be great. I checked cemeteries in St. Louis, MO where she died and could not find her buried there. If you cannot look for William, I'll understand. I plan are visiting Bellbrook this Fall after I move. Thx again for your help. Carol

Middle Run Cem
Michael, thx for the quick answer. I know it's a long-shot that my Austin's could be found. I'll visit Middle Run & Bellbrook as soon as I move home. Thx again. Carol

Bellbrook Cemetery
Michael, just emailed you and forgot to ask if you know where Bellbrook Cem is? I have many of my Conner's buried there and have never been able to get photos of their stones. So----is Bellbrook far from Cincy & Middle Run? Carol
