Lanteigne stone
Thanks so much for taking the time to photograph the Lanteigne stone. I would like to ask for your permission to use your photo in my family tree group on facebook. If you ever see any other Lanteigne stones in the area, please photograph these as well. I have been working on the Lanteigne family tree for 15 years and it covers all branches of the family tree. Thanks in advance

Kennedy headstones - Thank you!
Dear Aaron,
Thank you so much for taking the beautiful photos of my g-g-grandparents headstone, Anthony and Bridget Kennedy, and their son William. I also appreciated very much the photo for Frances Niles too.

I was in Cork, NB several years ago, but the photos I took don't compare to yours! Thanks so much for your stellar work and thoughtfulness.

So sorry you had to look through the cemetery without finding her. I will try to figure out where this info went wrong. I appreciate you doing this for me.

Thank you for the photo of his grave marker. There is none here for his brother, Roy Langley Stairs # 26508976. Will you be in the Otis area this summer? If so, I'd like to double-check for any marker for Roy.

Bridget Kennedy
Thank you so much for the excellent photograph of Bridget Kennedy's headstone. I visited the cemetery many years ago, but the quality of the photo I took was not of the same quality you provided. Your photo is so vivid and easily readable. I appreciate your thoughtful gesture very much.

I should have asked you to take a photo of all sides of the headstone, but I understood I could only make a request for one person at a time. I'll leave messages to request a photograph of Anthony Kennedy (my g-g-grandfather) who is on another side of the stone and also William Kennedy.

Thank you!

RE: Gordonsville Cemeteries is the correct entry. The Lower Gordonsville Cemetery listing is also correct.

So your photo for the Upper Gordonsville Cemetery is now correct... but it is not the "Community" Cemetery. It is aka: The Old White Cemetery. As for which ones are duplicates, that will be a more tedious task. In the meantime, I will get my photo deleted from the Upper Gordonsville Cemetery as it is now the one that doesn't belong.

Too bad there wasn't a way to notify people who upload photos when cemeteries are being merged... : And thank you for pointing out there is a Lower Gordonsville Cemetery. I did not realize this so now I can upload many of my photos.

Good teamwork! :)

RE: Gordonsville Cemeteries
The only cemetery currently listed is listed incorrectly. It is noted as "Upper Gordonsville" when it should be "Gordonsville Cemetery aka: Lower Gordonsville Cemetery". On past death certificates on PANB, it is listed as "Lower". Physically it is located in an expanse of fields between 1372 & 1409 Rte 570. It is the larger of the two, and not fenced.

The cemetery that is fenced (which is the photo you have uploaded to the previous cemetery) is the correct Upper Gordonsville Cemetery, aka "The Old White Cemetery". It sits on a very small parcel of land, adjacent to a white house, 1532 Rte 570. It is smaller with approximately 10 headstones and is encircled with a bent & mangled (in some places) rusty fence.

I am home recovering from very recent minor surgery at the moment. Once I feel up to moving around, I am going to go photograph the Upper Gordonsville Cemetery. Mostly because I have a lot of untranscribed photos of the Lower Gordonsville Cemetery but before I add them, I want to be sure that all the entries already inputted are correct. It may be easier to move one or two entries around than to change all of the entries to fit the cemetery name. I know there were two different cemeteries at one point because I've been toying with this for a while now, but they have been merged - your photograph was never listed in the Gordonsville "Community" Cemetery until recently. It was always on the "Upper Gordonsville Cemetery". I recalled seeing relatives of friends listed in both which prompted me to enquire with a relative mine who lives there.

We'll get it sorted out, I'm sure.

Gordonsville Cemetery

There are two cemeteries in Gordonsville NB that have been confused and now I see they have been merged together. The Community Cemetery is NOT the Upper Gordonsville Cemetery. There is one larger cemetery, closer to the crossroads of Rte 570 & Black Brook Road. The one that is considered the "Upper" Gordonsville Cemetery is closer to the northern end of Rte 570, nearer to Feeney Road. The Upper Gordonsville Cemetery is referred to by locals (to whom I'm related) as "The Old White Cemetery" - mostly White family members and their descendants are buried in this very small cemetery. It is fenced where the larger one is not. You have a photo added to the Gordonsville Community Cemetery of The Old White Cemetery that does not belong. This has been a mess for quite some time as people have messaged me about headstones that were named in each cemetery before the merger. However, now everyone is listed in the Community Cemetery and that is also incorrect. These locations are less than ten minutes from my home and I would like to see this get corrected asap.

Re: Elizabeth Smalley
Once the incorrect entry is corrected, I will then delete mine & ensure any additional info is forwarded for input on the entry.

Gallupe Stone East Florenceville
Thank you for taking and posting the pictures for E. Bartlett and Mary Gallupe in the East Florenceville Cemetery. Bartlett Gallup is my 3x great uncle. I am still looking for his brother Z. Burpee Gallupe's headstone if you see it in your travels. He is my 3 x great grandfather. He died in Victoria Corner in 1890 aged 45 years but doesn't appear in the PANB cemetery database so his final resting place is still a mystery. His wife B. Jane Rideout Gallupe (1841-1881) is also "missing". Her parents Charles and Mary "Polly" Rideout are buried in Upper Brighton Cemetery. May I have your permission to copy your photos to use on Thanks again.

Elizabeth Smalley

The photos & info I added for Elizabeth Smalley (154359688) are from the East Florenceville Cemetery (near the Florenceville Elementary School). The incorrect entry is actually 101435813 (which I was not aware of, thank you). Her headstone is NOT in the East Florenceville United Baptist Cemetery (beside the Irving service station). I am extremely familiar with this geographical area and I can guarantee that it is physically located in the cemetery closest to the Elementary School which, on this website, is listed as the East Florenceville Cemetery.

RE: William O. Bell
The prefix should only be used for those who died or retired in service. On the headstone it comes after the name. I have added it to his transcription.
