Dear Beverly; It would appear that your ancestor, Granville L Alspaugh, is buried in an Unknown & Unmarked Grave somewhere in Vicksburg City City Cemetery. Would you be interested in putting up a V A Memorial Stone in his honor. James Earl (Sam) Price

Gosh I just noticed you sent me a message.
Your welcome. I happen to be in the cemetery taking photos when John Walter was finished with the stone. I needed to make sure to get a picture of it, but it was wrapped in plastic and couldn't be removed for a week. So I came back after the wrap was removed.
I did not leave the flowers, I believe Mr. Walters left them.

Glad I could help. The cemetery has many older stones, many illegible. I tried to take a good picture of his stone, but it was hard to see all the writing on it.

On second thought please leave your photo of the old gravestone, I added a note explaining the two gravestones.

My family recently purchased a new gravestone and added the inscription of regina's daughter Kay (my grandmother) whose ashes are buried on top of Regina's grave. I added a new picture of her gravestone. Would you have any objection to removing the old photo you took of Regina's original gravestone? I thought it might be confusing to have the two gravestone photos on the memorial.

Yes, we will clean the stone the next time we travel that way. I've been told to only use water, as the stone cleaning solutions also damage the stone... but will check the solution out.
On the other question of why Eulah (and other random siblings) don't always show up... I'm not sure. It's likely a find-a-grave programing thing. It appears that the same data is entered (i.e. parents) so that they should all show up as siblings. It's a curious thing.

No, I am not assuming she is buried there. I try not to assume anything.
There is a stone in Hamil Cemetery, Rome, New York, for Mary. I transcribed the following information from that stone on June 24, 2000:
Mary A., wife of Jesse Sexton, died Aug 15, 185?, age 50 Yrs
Any other information on her memorial was sent to me by other contributor(s)

I wish I could but I can't read it any better than you can. Possibly the person who originally posted the site lives close enough to take another look.

There is only one Sunset View Cemetery. The other one is its Association. They are exact duplicates of each other. The other Sunset View cemetery without or maybe 1 internment was created in error by one of memorial creators and I'm requesting Find A Grave to delete it.

Please change the burial locations for the following memorials to Sunset View Cemetery (3,000+ internments) in El Cerrito in Contra Costa county. There has never been a Sunset View cemetery in Berkeley. The confusion arises because the cemetery use to receive their mail and other deliveries at the Berkeley post office. Once I get everyone switched over, I will have Find A Grave delete the Albany/Berkeley Sunset View cemeteries.

I'm sorry but I was just visiting New York when I took his headstone photo, if Fannie was buried by him then my friend may have taken her headstone photo. There was a lot of brewer headstones there, she took most of those.
Your welcome for your uncles headstone photo and sorry I couldn't help for his wife.

I was able to confirm the burial location per Crown Hill's online records. Using a lot map provided by the office I was able to narrow down the location. There is also record of Virginia Busselle in the same lot but I did not find a stone for her either. I did take a photo of the area I can send you if you'd like. If you want to see if there are any more records check out www.crownhill.org/locate. For $5 it might be an option worth trying. Have a great one, and good luck.
