|Bartlett & Taft Decendant||Merritt A. Potter photo|
Thank you very much for posting the photos of Merritt A. Potter. My great great grandmother, Harriett Amanda Potter Bartlett was his sister. Uncle Merritt changed the lives of hundreds by giving her three children a first class education.
Hazel, Harley, and Clifford Bartlett each went on to great things because of their generous uncle.
Hazel Bartlett became a Librarian at the Library of Congress. Professor Harley Harris Bartlett became one of the foremost botanists of his generation while also supporting another dozen students completing their educations at the University of Michigan. Clifford L. Bartlett, MD, my great-grandfather, was a Rockefeller scholar who taught at the University in Beijing 1922-26.
Please connect with me so I can share other images and information about our Potter ancestors via Rev. Aaron Potter, father of Merritt, Harriett, and about a dozen others.
Proud Potter Descendant,

|Jaqi ||Carl A Taylor - Indiana|
You have a photo posted of Carl A Taylor 46030928. He is my great grandfather's first cousin and I would be interested in posting that picture on Ancestry.com in my family tree. I am also curious as to the origin of the photo. Are you related to him?

I missed half of your question. St. John's cemetery buts up to Fairview cemetery. It is in the Southeast corner of Fairvew and if you weren't familiar with the cemeteries, it would be difficult to tell where one ended and the other began. It does cause a lot of confusion. In some of the old obituaries, it is called Fairview, which makes for even more confusion. The obituary was found in the Tipton Tribune archieve, which is on line thru the Tipton Library website.

|William Tatum||RE: Thank You!!!|
Hi, Thank you for your note. I am an ex funeral director and do know the importance of these photographs. You have the two placed in a cemetery that doesn't exhist. Your memorials should be moved to Park View Cemetery and Funeral Home, Manteca , San Joaquin County CA USA,with 2,897 interments listed. Someone has created the one you have placed your memorials in with only one more interment. Manteca CA is next door to Stockton and I am sure that has caused the confusion.
If I can help you futher, please let me know.
