RE: Alton Banks
You are welcome for the photo. I am glad to see you moved him to the correct cemetery. Thanks. Sure would make it nice if these cemeteries in Wolfe County only went by one name.

Dan Welsh Richards buried in Mt. Sterling is my father in law and he actually died in Garrard Co. at the Lancaster hospital, not in Versailles. His widowno8ved in Versailles at the time but Dan was in a nursing home in Lancaster. My husband was with him when he died. If possible could you change your info in Find a Grave. Thank you.

RE: Mary Eades
There's a little more to the story that I'll pass on. Her obit stated buried Paris Cemetery. When cemetery super researched & found no record of buried of her cremains, she called the funeral home. They said the family took the cremains and that's all they knew. Therefore, as stated, status of cremains is unknown. Thanks for reply & have a great day and weekend.

Frances Liggett Edit

I've sent an edit for Frances Liggett (memorial #66488576) using the edit tab. However, I did that once before so I'm not sure you got it or will get this one either. Here's basically what I sent just today:

I added the photo I took of Frances' marker to this memorial. However, I took the photo in the St. Edward Cemetery in Mendon, Michigan (St. Joseph County). That's not the cemetery in which you have placed her memorial. Perhaps you could consider changing her burial location to match where the marker is actually located, which is in Mendon.

If you read the obituary you have on the memorial, you will note that the funeral service was held in Mendon, Michigan as well.

Hope you are enjoying spring time!

Cemetery Map
I just added several items, including photos, to the Howard Cemetery on Rock Lick Branch in Magoffin County, KY. I added GPS data for each entry, and for the entries that were already posted. However, the "Map" for the cemetery needs to be corrected and I am unable to do that. The longitude coordinate for points in the western hemisphere, including all of KY, must be preceded by a "-" sign. Otherwise, the software defaults to the eastern hemisphere leading one to a point on the other side of the Earth.
The correct coordinates for the Howard Cemetery on Rock Lick Branch in Magoffin County are 037.8552 and -083.10300.

Joseph Long
Cherokee, I went ahead and added the tombstone photo for Joseph. Now you can move him to his burial grounds. He is buried in the Long Cemetery, Wolfe County, KY.

Just happened to run across it today on Ancestry and I knew that I had photographed Long Cemetery so checked it out and sure enough had the photo.

Happy hunting.

Thanks for transfer this to me. I met Bob this last year at our family Reunion. He and his wonderful wife were some of the cousins that welcomed me as though we had been in contact from the beginning. He was a very special cousin to me. Thanks again.

Gracie Katherine
Kathleen Burton
I was advised by Kendel Culbertson to move one of my memorials Eunice Stone out of Burton-Taulbee cem and into Taulbee and Burton. I believed that these cem were the same and had contacted Find A Grave to merge them since their were several of the same memorials in both. After looking at the cemetery today,I noticed you had Kathy moved to the Taulbee and Burton. After reading Kathy's obit and being from Wolfe County and knowing several Burton's who lived in Gilmore, and that in her obit she is said to be buried in Gilmore.Gilmore is not Mary, plus I am pretty sure Find A Grave contributor Pebble photoed all of Burton- Taulbee and I cannot find her aded there.Anyway I do not think she is buried in Burton.I do not know the exact location of Burton Family cem,and I do not find it in the cem listings for Wolfe County. Perhaps you could call Porter and Son and ask?I frequently get things wrong, but if I have any info that may help someone,I always share it.Thanks and have a great weekend.

re: Wilborn Ledbetter
His parents and siblings are buried in either King or Upper King cemetery in McCreary, Kentucky. He might be buried there. I think there are duplicate cemeteries, because his parents and siblings have duplicate listings, one in each cemetery. Will try to get the two cemeteries merged. donna

Hello. I noticed you have made a memorial for my husband's grandfather. While we appreciate the effort, you have the cemetery wrong. He is buried in Antioch Church of Christ Cemetery in Farmington, KY. He already has a memorial made by my husband's aunt for the right cemetery. I am thankful for all Find A Grave volunteers and the trouble they go through to make memorial pages. I know sometimes mistakes are made. No biggie! Just wondering if you could remove the memorial you have made. There are family members actively researching family history, and I am afraid this will just confuse them because it does show up on Thank you for all you hard work!
