You are welcome. I wish I could have located the graves for photos, but there are so many in Crooked Creek that have missing gravestones. A lot of them just have flat rock inserted in the ground like a gravestone, so that you know there is a grave there, just not whose.

Marshall Herod/Herrod
I got Fannie Herrod's death certificate but it only said she was buried in Sunflower county .I haven't tried to see if there is an obit by chance. The cemetery that Marshall is in is way back in woods and at that time it was hunting season and there is a hunting club that scared me and my husband afraid we'd get shot.LOL
Are you kin to the Herrods?

Dama was my fathers grandmother.
Granny Hillhouse lived in an old adobe 2 story home, what we always thought was comanche texas.
I remeber crossing the railroad tracks to get to her home.. Just a dust bowl back then the most exciting thing to do was dig for indian arrow heads (abundant) and play with the lion ants that would burrow in the ground. Grandpa hillhouse passed when I was a very young age.
SHe raised my father and aunt. I do not know much of anything about my fathers side, I do remeber Cloda, and aunt twinkle..If you have any information on My fathers father or my fathers Mother, I would love the information. Do you know the hillhouse family and or the decendants?

I noticed that you have a request for a stone pic.
She is buried inside the rockwall with her husband, William and his second wife. He supposedly had a stone at one time but has since disappeared.I was there in 1997 and all stone pics taken that were legible with heavy brush and rocks for possible field stones. Wish you could have a pic for her. That is my line of the family and I have managed to get multi stone pics to share for future generations. Hope your husband is safe and returning home soon.

No problem at all. That's why I do it so everyone can feel a little closer to those that have gone before. Sometimes just seeing the headstone of a loved one can give comfort to those that can't travel to the where they are at rest.

It seems to me that you were interested in individuals by the name of Davis in the Revolutionary War. If so I will provide you what I stumbled on to.
