Names of those who died in Bramhope tunnel
Hello,
My name is Trudi Fagg, and I am trying to find a list of the names of the 24 workers who died while building the Bramhope Tunnel. I can find pictures of the monument, and many info sites just mention that there were 24 men, but no names. I am trying to see if my three-times-great-grandfather was one of those 24 men. There is a family rumor that he died in a railway accident, but no concrete evidence. If you could direct me to where I can find these names listed, I would be very grateful.
Thanks so much in advance!
Trudi

Erith Cemetery photo request
Hello, I am a new member to the site and was researching Erith Cemetery, which is where I suspect at least two of my ancestors are interred.

I see that you have posted several photos of the cemetery and some interments.

If possible would you be able to look for and add pictures of the following two persons, assuming I am correct and they are indeed buried there? These ancestors lived in Belvedere and in Erith, and I assume Erith Cemetery would have served both communities around the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

These ancestors would be:

Arthur Morrell 1788-1880
George Truman Morrell 1830-1912

There may be other Morrells there as well, which I would also be interested in, namely Ellen Mary Morrell (d. 1903), and Douglas Percy Morrell (also d. 1903).

Thanks very much!

At this time I have no family links to the Tooth's that you have. Maybe in time.....

tooth family
I notice that you have several Tooth's at the St Dunstan's Cemetery (Mary and Robert). They are both from the time period of my Tooth's (Mary Tooth Buck died 1810 and Mrs Deborah Tooth died 1843)( both died in London and Deborah is buried at Kensal Green). Do you have any backround info on your Robert and Mary available? I'm trying all avenues to track down who Mary Tooth Buck and Mrs Deborah Tooth are. (Suspect Deborah may be sister in law of my Mary)
thanks in advance

Anthony Roper
Anthony Roper, the younger son of William Roper and his wife Margaret More, was born in 1544.
The memorial on the wall of Farningham Parish Church records his death on 23 July 1597.
Anthony married Anne Cotton and they had three sons and two daughters.
Anthony's older brother, Thomas Roper, was born in 1533 and died on 21 January 1597. He was buried in the Roper Vault at St. Dunstan's Church, Canterbury.

Closer look at this grave marker
Was wondering if you, by chance, have a closer photo of the inscription on this grave marker? I would be interested in seeing any and all engravings. This is my husband's great grandfather. We are now searching for the Captain's wife, Jane White Lyons, who died in Tonbridge, Kent, on May 14, 1934. Hoping you can be of help to us. Anything you can do would be greatly appreciated.

Amy Atkinson
Hi there,

I am researching Amy Atkinson, an artist who was born in Fakenham, Norfolk, in 1859 and who appears to have been buried in Rusthall, Kent. It looks as though you took the picture of her grave - is it possible to get a higher resolution version of this, or find out what the inscription says? It is very difficult to find out much information about her online!

Many thanks,

Peter Austin

Marta Cunningham
Hey JS,

I have info and F-A-G numbers for Marta's Father Albert Baxter Cunningham # 104948389 and her brother Atkins Buie Cunningham # 106021100

I believe you already have her mother's info. A very dynamic family to say the least.

Kindest Regards from Texas, Ed

RE: Christopher Wade
Hi, You're more than welcome - I had always heard that we were related to Christopher, and when I verified it, I couldn't grab that sponsorship fast enough, I am so honored. Maybe it's the writer in me, but I have always been stand up, say something, do something, go down swinging, no matter the consequences. My great-great-great uncle was flailed in the town square a long time back for speaking ill against the King, and we were darned proud of him, too, so that'll tell you what you're dealing with here. ha! Have a good weekend - Best, RCP and Gannon Blue

RE: Silvestra Elizabeth Gybbon-Monypenny Le Touzel
Dear js,

I think I could manage the memorials on this site, as I have a good bit of information on the LeTouzel family. However, since I live in the US, I would greatly appreciate any help from you or others in the UK as far as photos are concerned.

Thanks again.

Sue

Grave of Capt. Patrick Arthur Lyons
Was wonder if the photo on the above grave site is the actual headstone on the grave of Capt. Lyons or just a random grave stone in the Tonbridge Cemetery? I was wondering if in this cemetery you have come across the grave of Capt.Lyon's wife, Jane (White) Lyons who die in 1934. She was born in Jullunder, India on February 6, 1854.
