RE: Slade cemetery
Mr pollock

I want you to know I have not forgot about the Slade cemetery. I am waiting for cooler weather and brush to die off to get further in the woods. Do you know who owns that property or the farm(s) behind it? i wouldnt mind doing some trimming in the brush but would like to ask first if possible.

RE: Slade Cemetery
Hey I just wanted to let you know I went back by there today and searched but came up empty handed. I move some small rocks on the ground around thinking maybe it was covered up but didnt find anything. I did get a pic of a headstone (or marker) outside the fence but it was impossible to read. It had alot on it so i dont think it was a headstone. Probably something about the history of the area or something. I will upload what I got,and if you send me your email,I will forward them to you as well.

RE: Howard Candler
This area where he was laid to rest is a lovely spot, however many of the stones are sinking and I fear will be lost in this section..It's is a very large rolling hillside but, this is near the bottom..I have tried to make as many photos as I can...I have over 3000 photos not posted, just not enough time.

Glad I could help.

RE: Addison Pierce Munroe
Thank you for pointing that out. You are absolutely correct, they tried to correct their spelling. I have made the change for you.

I was not sure if you would be interested in this or not but did find where MJ took a photo of her stone. It is a bit strange that John F. and the children all seem to be buried at Yellow Mountain, but I did find another child (Bonnie Nevada McKinney) of Jane and John's that may have been buried in the Greene Cemetery as well, although Bonnie's is likely one of the stones that time has wiped away from the cemetery.
Just ran across this and thought I would share.

Glad you figured out how to delete those flowers. I have used that option quite a few times in the past.
As for that memorial, I noticed that it had been deleted. I will make one in the correct cemetery soon. She did have more than two years to research her interment, which I'm assuming she did not follow-up with. On here, if you snooze you lose.

RE: Mary Jane Burleson Calloway
Hi Vance,
Actually you can delete that flower, but you may not be aware of the option to do so. Simply click on the flower with your mouse. The option to delete will pop up. Then you simply click delete.
I sometimes notify other contributors where to move their incorrect burials, but if they have parked them for a long time...years, I usually create a correct memorial.
As of this time, I haven't researched Claude.

Mary Jane Burleson Calloway
Hi Vance,
Please take your flower message down from memorial #87180596. She is not buried in the Burleson Cemetery, Greenwood Cemetery or the Calloway Cemetery. If this contributor doesn't move her out of the incorrect cemetery, I will have to create another memorial in the "correct" cemetery.

BTW, Greenwood was originally named "Rockview" Cem.

RE: Brown Mt lights
Vance was it a book that you published. Avery is there but Peraline is not listed and the person who listed him says he has no idea where she is buried. If there is a book I would like to purchase it and I don't believe I read all the story on the site. I will try Yellow Mt Church across from the cemetery and see if they have any records. The funny thing is that Avery is the one who donated the land for the cemetery and it was so very long ago I do not think records were kept.

Brown Mt lights
Mr Pollock. I am very very interest in your book on the Brown Mountain lights that mention Perline Lay and Avery Buchanan. These were my gggrandparents. I have never heard this story before and have never been able to find out where Peraline is Buried. Can you please get with me and let me purchase a copy of this book from you. I would so very much appreciate it. Thank you so much. Virginia Buchanan-Bean

Robert & Julia Warren
I believe the Robert & Julia Warren you seek are buried at Montmorenci United Methodist Church Cemetery, not Mount Moriah Wesleyan Church Cemetery. There are memorial pages for them both in Find a Grave, along with gravestone photos. Robert Warren is 29615729 and Julia Warren is 29615723.

RE: George and Ella Hill
No problem. Those two were actually listed on the cemetaries website so it didnt require a whole lot - unless there are two other people buried there with the exact same names.. Let me know if you need anything else

George and Ella Hill
Hi there. I saw a message that you were looking for info on George and Ella Bertha Hill's burial. Do you still need that info/pictures? I did check and Ella's burial date is showing 05/13/1998 -she is in section N1, block 11, lot 4, space C of the cemetary. I can not locate a George E Hill however I did find a Geo E. Hill - I am assuming it is probably him. It is the only one in the cemetary. His burial date is showing 05/18/1971. He is in section 1, block 58 lot 3 space H2. If you need pics let me know and I will go out there if this sounds like the correct people
