RE: Wilson Family Cemetery
Thanks, Daniel, for your quick and thorough response. I do remember my Dad saying that Peter S. Jayroe was buried near the bank of the Black River and that maybe his grave had been washed away. However, that was his grandfather and I don't believe he knew exactly where he was buried

Wilson Family Cemetery
Was wondering if there are other graves in this cemetery not listed at this site. The two Jayroe girls are related to me through my great great uncle Andrew Brown Jayroe. I have not found where he and his brother, Peter S. Jayroe (my great grandfather) are buried. Is there a possibility they are buried in this cemetery? I recall my father saying he thought that Peter Jayroe was buried on Black River. It seems possible that Andrew B. Jayroe's daughters could be buried near his grave. I have read your remarks on the Wilson Cemetery on Facebook. Also, both Andrew and Peter Jayroe owned property on or near Black River, Andrew at the fork of Black Mingo Creek and Black River, and Peter on Indian Hut Swamp near Black River. It is possible they were buried at their respective properties.
Daniel, let me know if you think either of these two brothers could possibly be buried at Wilson Cemetery.
Thank you for your contributions to family history.

This cemetery is listed as having a Rockingham address. Where is it located? I am in the Historical Society and we are doing a GPS of all the cemeteries.

RE: Rice and Lenerieux
I am decended on my maternal side from the Rice and Linerieux families in Georgetown, SC.

You are decended from the son of Martha Josephine Linerieux and her first husband. From Joann Carroll Fairbourn I learned that Martha married 1st. to Benjamin Thomas Wilson about 1800, when she was just 13. He died in 1810 returning from England, and she married her cousin, William G. Linerieux (my 4th great grandparents).

I am decended from the 2nd marriage through their daughter, Louisa Elizabeth Linerieux, who married Shadrach Rice (my 3rd great grandparents).

Their first born son, William Griffin Linerieux Rice MD, married Sarah Myers Wilson in Georgetown in 1851 (my 2nd great grandparents).

Their daughter, Lillie Elizabeth Rice, married Thomas John Blackwell (my great grandparents).

Their daughter, Reba Kathleen Blackwell, married Ira Elbert Lassister (my grandparents).

Their daughter and my mother is Lillie Louise Lassiter.

I have significant info on these families through research in SC and through others. I am more than willing to share with you and hope you will share with me. I never charge for anything - as I believe it comes back to you double or more.

I know very little about your line through the first marriage.

Where did you see the my info on them.

Yes, they are on my Mother's side of the family. How are you related?

I've transferred her memorial to your care. I am only distantly related to her.... she married my third cousin, Josiah Boone.

John Power Wilson and wife Elizabeth Brourton
Hi Daniel,
The picture you have of John Power Wilson and his wife Anne Elizabeth Brourton is really great. It's the first I have seen of them. Did you find it in your family papers? Thank you for posting. Would you mind if I copied it into my genealogy?

Daniel...who are your parents?

Helen Storms and Joanna Phillips

Thanks for taking the pictures for me. Helen was the 2nd wife of my 3x great grandfather Wright Pittman and I think her second husband Jordan Phillips may have been the son of my 4x great grandfather Jordan Phillips and Hester Lee.
