|Jessie James Austin||Bartholomew "Bat" Austin|
Debby, my Name is Jessie James Austin, I'm A Third generation grand son of Bartholomew "Bat" Austin who was born in 1768 in Surry County, North Carolina and every one has him dying in Cumberland Gap, Kentucky, I searched all around that area and he simply is not buried any where in white county, Kentucky, I have five letters that say so from different county's in that area, they searched every cemetery in there area and could not come up with A Bartholomew "Bat" Austin. Mam, I've been doing my family history research now for 30 years, and everyone tries to do something to prove me wrong even Austins of America, I won't give them any information that I have and trying to pin down where he is buried at, I had hired A license family history researcher to research only the sir name of Austin, she took it clear back into England in 1592 to A Richard Austin and she got me A copy of his castle, A Picture. it's Beautiful. she has Bartholomew "Bat" Austin being buried in Phipps, Wise County, Virginia. but I cannot get anyone in Phipps to confirm his burial in in Phipps Virginia, and is buried next to One of his Sons.Can you help me to pin point Just where Bartholomew "Bat" Austin is really buried at? & to see if there is A head stone on his and his sons grave in phipps Virginia, Please, Thank You, sincerely Jessie James Austin 9702494364 P.S. Nothing in England on this family has been proofed

|JoAnn||change of date of birth?|
Mahulda Mullins Fleming #70149678. Her stone indicates 1865 for a birth date. However, the lovely bio that was written for her does not indicate that is correct. Her age is given as 82 at date of death. Has this been brought to your attention before? Please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org

Hi Debby, you're welcome for the photo of Susan Swindall Vanover. It wasn't a very good photo, the sun wasn't my friend that day.
I'm not directly related to the Swindalls, but through some distant marriages.

|Bonnie (Stemen) Fiser||Alton William Haase-artwork|
In going through some of my Aunts things I found a piece of artwork of a dog signed Alton William Haase. I did a google search of his name and came up with your post on this website. My aunt graduated from Utica High School in 1935 and the artwork was in with her school photo/scrap book. Didn't know if this would be something that your family would be interested in having. My aunts name was Glenda Thomas, not that it would have any meaning to your family. Regards, Bonnie (Stemen) Fiser

OMGOSH! Debby I just read what you wrote on uncle Pat's site. I wonder if we ever met? If that is your grandmother with them in the pictures, than you are probably quite a bit younger than I . We went in the 50's and 60's to Harsen's island and then we moved to Algonac and I went to high school there. Before the freighters were allowed to come through there the water was so clear. Some of my best childhood memories are from there. Take care and thanks again for what you do! Kathy

Thank you Debby for finding my Aunt Dorothy's gravesite. Ever since I discovered findagrave I am so thankful to the people that put in all that work! I was wondering if you know the women in the picture with Dorothy. I know it was taken on Harsen's island, off of Algonac, Mi. As children we went there often. Aunt Dorothy was married 3 times and was born Sadie, but my grandfather called her Sarah. Thanks again, Kathy

I agree with your stated philosophy about transferring memorials over to family and friends and do it readily and frequently. I have encountered a few rude people but try to set them aside and move on. Most people have been lovely and appreciative. Blessings in this good work.
