CHAMBERS
Hello
I am doing family history and I have several death certificates with the name of the cemetery where family members were buried. Truly, I don't know which one of these three Montgomery cemeteries they would be buried in.
These are the names: Hannah, John R., and Sallie Thomas Chambers; Alice Henderson and Dennis Maynard & Lizzie Maynard Johnson. Dates range from 1940 - 1967.
Given the dates on most of them, would it be wise to say the Old Montgomery Cemetery.
Thanks in advanced for any information you might be able to contribute.

Henry D Boyd, Montague Cemetery, TX
Subject is buried in Montague Cemetery, San Jacinto Co, TX. Supposedly, his wife Ida Lee Shaw Boyd, b:17 Aug 1880 d:29 July 1921, is buried beside him in an unmarked grave. A relative is trying to verify this info so that he can buy a headstone for her. Are there any state, furneral, cemetery or church records available to verify her resting place?

Thank you.

Hayman Cemetery
I see that the map associated with the Hayman Cemetery (aka Liberty Hill Cemetery) (at Pointblank, San Jacinto County) is incorrect. I have been to the cemetery and it is not located at Pointblank.

And it appears there is a duplicate cemetery listing - Hayman Cemetery (Cleveland, Liberty County) - that needs to be consolidated with your instance.

The pictures for both Find A Grave instances are of the same cemetery.

It is located on Farm to Market Road 2025 between Cleveland, TX and Coldspring, TX - just outside (north) of the town of Liberty Hill (in San Jacinto County - NOT Liberty County).

To be more precise, the cemetery (and the 1 room church/school (that my grandparents help build) and Texas state historical marker) are on the left hand side of FM-2025 just north of Liberty Hill (per Mapquest) before the Double Lake Recreation Area.

Lillie Ellisor Hall
David, thanks for searching for the grave of Lillie Mae. After you could not find it, I spoke to her daughter and we have determined she is actually buried in Oakwood in Huntsville under the name Mae Ellisor Hall Anderson. Apparently she was to be buried at New Waverly at one time and then later remarried (Anderson) and was interred at Oakwood. I will have to work with the two volunteers who entered these memorials and see if we can get all of the info. correct. Anyway, I know you worked hard to find her burial and I just wanted you to know your work was not overlooked since we discovered the two memorials in separate cemeteries. Thanks again.

Jules Verne
Spring Hill/Snow Hill
Dear David,

I in no sense mean this to be disrespectful, but I believe you are in error about the name and past of this cemetery. Indeed, it is referred to as Spring Hill, but the town of Snow Hill is quite far away-it is very close to the West end of Lake Livingston. True, far away is a relative term, but as I was working more on the photo-documention of Spring Hill Cemetery, it appears to me to be an exlusively African American cemetery.

Most people buried here seem to have come from the nearby town of Evergreen.

I am no expert on the area's local history, etc., just another simple findagraver hoping to document some things to save history, and lend a helping hand.

Good luck in your endeavors, and I hope to one have contributed so much service as you.

Sincerely,

Paul Latour
