Burials for William and Josephine Tompkins and Mattie Cole
I visited the Vevay Cemetery and talked to the brothers at the Haskell and Morrison funeral home. William and Josephine Tompkins are buried in the IOOF Section 9, Lot 184. They had small metal markers and they have been destroyed over time.
Mattie and Milton R Cole are buried in Section 5, Lot 386 in the back next to the fence. Their markers have been destroyed over time also.
I have maps that I have marked the areas and I have photos of the areas where they are, but no markers are there.
I also have written this information and signed it. Please let me know if you want the information sent to you, posted on findagrave or if you want the information. I will be putting it in my tree on each person involved.

Thank you
Thank you so much for the transfer of Ida Downey.

I have updated her memorial. I will continue to add to it. This is much easier for me, than to try to do this through another person. Again I am very grateful. Thank you so much.

Could you add James H Wilber Chenoweth Born 15 April 1856 in Oregon Territory. Died 25 January 1867 in Garden Valley Oregon. I do not know where he is buried. His father was William R Chenoweth #35372729 buried in Rose Burg Oregon. His mother was Mary Anne McKinney Chenoweth #35372766, also Rose Burg. His brother was Joseph Richard Chenoweth #70208492 buried in the Mason Cemetery in Coquille Oregon. I ask Jon Egge if he would let me manage my family, but he pretty much refused. William and Mary Anne are my Great Great Grand parent, and Joseph My Great Grand Father.

Thank you. I have done some research on Amanda Guthrie and cannot find that she was ever married to Mr. McMurry. Thank you for clearing that up.

Update Hannah Gilbertson Dahl in Chimney Rock
Hi Jessica.

Well, I was finally able to figure out the mystery of Hannah Christianson Gilbertson Dahl (married to Odius Otis Dahl. They are same person. Could you lease link her (Hannah Gilbertson Dahl) to her mother, Maria Raaberget Gilbertson (Christianson), Find A Grave 110023142. I can send you a link in the edit tab as well.

Another Find A Grave member had taken photos of her mother Maria's grave stone, we were able to figure it out my looking at Maria's obituary, which I had not seen, because it said Mary Gilbert… (I was expecting Mary or Maria Hansen Christianson or Gilbertson…)

Anyway, quick explanation:

Gunerius (Gilbert) Raaberget Christiansen and Marie Hansen had two or three children in 1867 when came over from Norway (Christ Gilbert, Bertha Gilbertson and Halvor (Henry) Gilbertson. Henry may have been born in US in March 1867, but I don't think so. Not 100% sure tho)

Anyway, the rest of the children born after 1867 (Karl, Gust, Hanna (b. 1875-1878, Lena (Carolina), OUR shared Hannah DAHL, and youngest Matilda (Emma Matilda)) were baptized at Chimney Rock with that Christianson last name. However, tracking them in census and obituaries, etc. they all did use the name of Gilbert or Gilbertson. I am thinking since their father died in 1894, perhaps after his death they all stopped using Christianson used Gilbertson (since their father had Gilbert in his name) this makes sense.

Happy to solve the mystery.

Sincerely, Cyndi

Wowsa! That was fast. Thank you so much for transferring William Sumner Snow's memorial to me. It means so much, and I promise to take good care of your fine work in creating it. Can't thank you enough. (And if you live in Oregon, I'm jealous.) All best, Amy (ajf)

Sharp ancestors
Hi there!

You sure have done a lot of service for people! I'm just getting into this part of family history work and service. I understand direct relatives are able to request management of memorials. These three people on your list are my great-grandparents and my great aunt and I would really love to have them transferred to me. John J Sharp 1846 - 1918, Lucinda Caroline McGhehey Sharp 1848 - 1934, and Lacy Beatrice Sharp 1883 - 1906. Please let me know how to do this.

Thanks, Connie Sharp Osborn

Hannah Gilbertson Dahl and Odius Otis Dahl
HI Jessica. Thank you for your email yesterday. I am still researching this family. It does seem almost certain that this Hannah Gilbertson Dahl is the same person as Hannah Christianson Dahl. So far, I still cannot find a good reason, parents birth names, but I have found a birth record and marriage record with Christianson. Her husband's obit also references Hannah Christianson. However, all the children list her as Hannah Gilbertson and her own obit says Hannah Gilbertson. I am confident, she is the same person. But, I'm going to keep digging to try to find out why. Her two Gilbertson brothers should be a hint, but so far I am not seeing it…

Just glad to find them!

Charles Willet Huddleston
CEMETERY - Lone Oak Cemetery, Stayton, Marion, OREGON. You have put on the memorial page his parents names. I have done the research on this family and the 1870 CENSUS shows his family as EDWARD J. HUDDLESTON age 24 and MAY J. WEDMORE age 19, CHARLES W. age 3 and his sister ANN age 8 months. Also, MAY'S brother FRANK WEDMORE age 20...So please change on your memorial page #53427558 Colleen. P.S. I tried your email but it would not go through, that is the one on your BIO page...

Mattie Ellen Tompkins Cole
I understand completely why you wish to keep Mattie, William and Josephine's memorials.
I sent you a request to edit the birth and death dates of Mattie Ellen.
I am attaching an obituary for Mattie Ellen to her memorial. This obituary was supplied to my sister, Juanita Norris in 1999 by Estene Cole Leap of Vevay, Indiana.
I see so many memorials that need information and I have a lot of it, but not enough time to message everyone.
I appreciate you editing Mattie's memorial. Thank you so much. Mary Cole Hensley.
