I have transfered the 3 Palkkis to you as I have no reason to retain them. My purpose in creating them was for historical purposes for the Itasca County Historical Society and "Find-A-Grave". I have done this for several cemeteries in the County. I'm happy to transfer them to you.

I will be glad to take a picture of the plot where Albert Oswald is laid to rest. Probably tomorrow, as they say rain is headed our way again. Will try to get two, one fairly close, and one farther away so you can see the area. Would you like me to post them, or send them to you direct? It's my pleasure to help where and when I can.

I have more photos to post from Cypress View and will try to get them posted today.

No, I tentatively made the connection of Sigle Francis Capps to his son Harry O. through the census records I found and an online family tree. I don't know if the cemetery records show any family info. Grace and Harry are interred at Cypress View - I found them today when I went to photograph Charles Snodgrass. I made memorials for them as well as her brother Robert who is also at Cypress View. I still don't know why I typed Gloria instead of Grace - touch of senility I guess when it comes to names. Hope none of this has confused you - just thought I would give out possible leads for a family member to follow through to the actual truth.

I am sorry I do not have any information on Alice K Grice Overland 1053795. I am related to her husband. Please use the edit tab if there is anything you would like to add to her memorial or link her to her family.
Thank you for the offer of information. If there is anything I find which may help you, I will send it on to you.

RE: The Plot Thickens
Oops! My original post to you re Sigle Capps should have said Grace, not Gloria - brain fog!

RE: The Plot Thickens
The 1930 census shows Harry and Grace with daughter Norma Gena living in Kansas. Harry O. is found in the 1900 and 1910 census living with his parents Frank S. And Nellie Capps as well as his brother Archie also in Kansas. No legal proof but I believe these to be the same family. By 1940 Harry and family were living in San Diego while Frank and Nellie were still in Kansas - just some clues worth following since Sigle F. Capps was buried in the grave just above Alice. I also could be totally wrong and it was just a coincidence that a Capps was buried in that area. Good luck.

You're welcome.

I put it in the Cemetery Fix in the Forums for Findagrave to merge them.

RE: Alice and Charles Snodgrass
Buried one row above Alice was Sigle Capps who apparently was the father-in-law to Gloria Snodgrass Capps. I made a memorial for him also. It's nice to make these distant connections.

Unfortunately after checking again with the office they had no further info on his death date. At least you have the year now.

Alice and Charles Snodgrass
After being told they could not find an Alice Snodgrass I went in person to recheck. Sure enough they found her location. Imagine my joy when I noticed buried next to her was her husband Charles. You can now connect him to his cemetery, Greenwood Memorial Park. Glad that I could help you in your search.

And, thank you! Your praise has made my day! Yes, our research brings us into contact with many people from around the country. My impression is that those who enjoy genealogy are generally soft-hearted and kind people. The detective work is challenging and rewarding after solving a COLD CASE. Findagrave has opened new doorways into research. Being able to see the final resting place of older generations before us is a humbling experience.

Sometimes the little things we do are the big things to others. By adding a name to a cemetery, someone else finds a lost one. What drama!

Our good deeds will not go unnoticed. God will provide a special place for us, the grave stompers of Findagrave!

A wonderful story!
Your bio tells a beautiful story! I just really thought your journey was so special and meaningful to all of us in genealogy land.

Alice is a direct relative of mine, so I will keep the memorial, but I'll be happy to add any info you send to me using the edit tab.
Have a good day.

You are very welcome. Sure thing, you can use the pics anyway you want to.
You lucked out. It is supposed to rain for a week or more straight now here and I just happened to get to the cemetery before the worst of it started when the clouds parted for a few minutes.
I could email you some better quality copies if you like. You have to downsize pics a bunch to get them onto Find A Grave. Also I have one extra shot I did not add to Find A Grave.

I was happy to transfer Audrey Skoog's memorial to your management. There are a couple of other Skoog surname memorials that I created for Vernon E. and Vernon M. Skoog, both buried at Claggett Cemetery in Keizer. If they are related as well and if you're interested in managing those memorials, I can turn them over to you as well.

RE: Charles & Alma Skooge
It was a error on my part

I corrected it and added some addition info I found on Ancestry. Please let me know if I have any other errors or you would like anything else added

I will be taking photos of the cemetery this summer. If you send me a formal photo request on Find A Grave I will try and make sure I get to these graves first
