Sorry I have not been active on findagrave for awhile and did not see your message. I was glad to find the grave site and you of course are most welcome to use the photo to share with your family!

Mr. M. Jones
Re: Velma Zook Photo
Hello,

I was out to the Gilliland Cemetery the other day and discovered a crew there working on the inscription for Velma's monument. After they finished with their work I took a photo. I have removed the previous photo from her memorial, and posted the updated photo.

Best regards,
Mr. M. Jones

Mr. M. Jones
Samuel Zook
Hello,

I'm new to Find a Grave and still learning the rules. It appears that your Husband's Uncle may not qualify for a transfer.

As per F.A.G. Rules,
..."Transfer requests should be for direct relatives within four generations. This would be your siblings, parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren"...

However if you have information you would like to add, please forward it to me and I'll be happy to update his memorial.

Velma Zook Photo
Hello,

I have located Velma's final resting place. She is next to her husband, Samuel. The cemetery manager has confirmed that she is interred at this location. However the monument has yet to be inscribed with her name and dates. I will post the photo of the existing monument and continue to check back occasionally for the completion of the inscription. At which time I will re-photograph her monument and post an updated photo.

Treva Poe
Hiram and Elizabeth Crabtree
I note you have two photo requests at the Bridge Creek Cemetery in Schuyler County, Missouri...Hiram 18344408 and Elizabeth 8863438 Crabtree. You will note that the contributor of the memorial for her states "She married before 1818 to Hyram Crabtree, who also has a cyber grave here" which can only mean they are assumed to be buried there. I have photographed this entire cemetery and walked it at least three times for another look-see. I wish I had better news regarding your photo requests...the markers for Hiram and Elizabeth aren't there if ever (as indicated by the "cyber grave" quote above). With this information perhaps you might want to remove your photo requests.

Thank you. Haven't done very much in recent years. Was just trying to find my family and included other finds in the search. Wish I could still do it, but with cancer treatments, my legs are really shot now.

RE: Richard Roy Howell, #64428574
Richard Roy Howell and Richard Corey Howell are buried about 70 feet apart, and three rows apart. Richard Corey is in the babies section, and the graves there are tiny. It would have been impractical and expensive to move him to be with Richard Roy, if he is indeed his father.

They are both buried in what used to be the old Syringa Gardens Cemetery, which was the property of the various local undertakers, I'm told. Some years back, when both adjoining cemeteries had fallen into disrepair, the city took them over, combined them under the name of the larger, Dry Creek, and began taking excellent care of them. Dry Creek Cemetery is a show place for our county and our city. You can see some of my pictures, and some from others, on the cemetery's page. It is spectacularly beautiful.

RE: Richard Roy Howell, #64428574
You're very welcome. In the same small section of the rather large Dry Creek Cemetery is the grave of Richard Corey Howell, who lived only two days. He is born at the right time to be the son of your Richard Roy Howell. I added a picture for little Richard Corey Howell. The thing which makes me very suspicious on this is that both graves have identical, unusual plastic flowers decorating them. If he is Richard Roy's son, you can add him to your genealogy, too.

Yup, you are welcome.
You done good. That was nice of you to be willing to take the extra page for Alice off.
I forgot to check on the Skoog graves today. Shoot. It is supposed to be another break in the rain this coming Friday at which time I am planning on going back up there and I won't forget again. They should have that new stone on by then unless the rain has washed it away?! :-]

Alice Grice
Hi,
You put in a request for pictures of Alice Grice and her husband's gravesite in Willamette National Cemetery. Things were going pretty good today until I got to that grave! It was really wet and muddy there. It was a lot of work but I got as much grass and mud and water out of the way as I could to where you could at least see all the letters and numbers. We normally get a lot of rain here in Oregon but this past month we have gotten over twice as much rain as normal! So, we have really been getting hammered with the rain storms. I will try and get a better picture of the grave next summer when it finally quits raining.

I was able to find Herman & Josephine Kangas but August Hietala was not there I asume there was never a marker installed for him, or over the years it has settled into the ground and not visable.

I went to the cemetery again today and the Skoog's new stone has still not been placed yet. They still have the temp marker on the grave. I will try again another day.

Hmmm, that's odd. I wonder why you didn't get the message?? I sent the first message to your email address on your profile page you have listed. Maybe it went into your spam folder? It won't be very soon that I get back up to the cemetery. It is supposed to pour down rain nearly all week and pretty hard this coming weekend. It may be a couple weeks yet before they place Agnes' new grave stone anyway. I will get to it though as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience.

RE: Have we met?
Hi again,
I have no knowledge of any Haines who served in the military in Germany. There are a bezillion Haines all over the country related to me though since my 7th great grandfather's family came to the US in 1682, they have had an awful long time to multiply and spread out all over the place. I might be but unless I knew a fair amount more about them I don't know if I am or not??
Thanks for asking though.

RE: Agnes Annette Stromberg Skoog, #99438295
Hi,
Well, you can put in another request if you want to but I can't for the life of me understand why you would want to do that?? I already said I am going to watch for them to add the permanent marker and take pics of it. You are not going to have any idea when they do that. If you put in a request before they add the permanent marker and someone else besides me claims the request before I do and they go out there and see there is a temporary marker on the grave and go home and find out I already added pics of the temporary marker they might be rather upset about that don't you think? I am not the only person who goes to that cemetery to take pics for Find A Grave. When you put in a request for pictures it goes to several people and whoever sees the request first can claim the request if they want to. The some other person who might claim the picture may be someone who does not go to any great lenghths to get a really good picture like I do. But, if you want to make another request for a picture later go ahead. You can do that if you want to.
