Frank Southward list on his Death record Feb 14, 1928 Mother Melisa Davis Father Isaac Southward.
John Andrew Logan Southward born Jan 25, 1885 son of Malissa cook and Isaac Southward died Dec 22, 1943 in Alton, Madison co., IL.
Marriage record for Mary Southworth (Southward) age 21 b. 1872 Mother Malissa Davis Father Josh ( Isaac) Southworth (Southward-) and John Louis age 28 b. 1865 Married Aug 16 1893 in Montgomery co. IL John Louis father Gelde Louis and Mother Frank Alberts.
As you can see the marriage clerk was a little dimwitted. I would write to Montgomery Co., Il and ask for the copy of the original Marriage record.
As you can see all 3 sibblings list Malissa Davis and Southward as parents. I would request all of these documents for proof of relationship.
Hope this helps you. Margie

I sent you a few edits, I like the new way they are doing edits but as a member it annoys me they don't send out a e-mail notice letting you know people have requested edits so it sits there till you notice the edit area is highlighted when you sign in... When it first came out it was over a month before I noticed the option and sure enough someone had a requested a edit that way. I would have processed it right away but had no clue.. Still annoys me that they don't send a e-mail warning me someone has requested a edit on one of my memorials so I can only assume that when I request edits on other memorials other members also don't get e-mail notification. So I figured I would give you a heads up to check your edit area in your profile because I sent you a bunch of edits recently...
Thanks for all you do,

|Jen||RE: Sarah Holliday in Milton Cemetery|
I apologize that it has taken so long to reply back to your message in March about Sarah Holliday. Looking through my files it does not look like I have a connection to her. I added her information from an obit I found for her in the Alton Telegraph.
I wish I could have helped you out. Good luck with your research.

Since you are more closely related to this family, I have transferred the memorials to you.

I do not know where Ferdinand was born or anything more about him than was in the memorial. I am working on Pinecrest cemetery trying to photograph it and improve on the memorials, but I have not gotten to that one yet and I see the gravestone picture is already done. Sorry I can't help you. Penny

I hope his marker has the full death date, because the way the records read now, he was buried six weeks before he died...which would indicate, of course, that it's a different John Buckley.

No problem David. I'm glad I was able to help you. I'm about the same distance from there as well. If you need any others I would be glad to take them. However due to work and a busy life I don't get there as often as I would like. I go Hayner library first and look up the burial location first. I know the Oakwood, Alton City, and St Joseph cemeteries very well.

|D Stonebraker||RE: My family tree back To Chacelor Livingston|
Check sugar grove again - search livingstone. We went back this weekend, there is in fact a chancelor (one l) which I believe is a son. He is on the same stone as James and Nancy, I added all of them to findagrave. So the new question is did chancelor (one l) have kids and is that your relative, and (two l's) his parent, also your relative? :) Are you on ancestry.com? If so I would love to see your family tree for this family.

According to the headstone, the last name is spelled Chancellor Livingstone
I am surprised by the 'e' on the last name, however I am not by the spelling of the first name. Would you please edit? :)
