|Linda Jean Limes Ellis||M Townsend buried at the Friends Cemetery in North Lewisburg -- see update on Memorial|
"M" Townsend, who died in 1848, and was buried at the Friends (Quaker) Cemetery in North Lewisburg, Champaign County Ohio, has been identified as Mary Watson Townsend:

Nell was a single stone in a row containing several Coopers and couples named Speers, Hoag, and George. I have walked the entire cemetery over the summer (today was the last visit) and haven't found a James. I'm still transcribing the photos I've taken so he may show up, but he is not listed in an old transcription done by the local cemetery society. All of the other Townsends in this cemetery are in adjoining plots--Nell is the only one not in that group. I don't know what records exist, if any, beyond the transcription done by the cemetery society.

|Becky Martin||RE: Lt. Quintin Marshall Wilder|
Quintin's Father, George, and my Grandfather, Frank Wilder, were first cousins. I had not caught this before so found it very interesting! Take at look at George Wilder on the 1920 census and then at the Townsends. Both live at 1222 South 14th. Makes me wonder how the census taker contacted and then recorded who all lived at this home. I visited many times growing up with Lelia (we called her Mother Wilder) his Mother and sisters Ruby and Violet. Wish I knew this then and I could have asked! Becky

Thanks Jason. Somehow I missed that. I have been trying to get folks to link families together and I guess I got carried away. LOL

|M.Hogan||Israel and Mary Townsend|
Hello, I added photos of Israel and Mary Townsend today. I looked for Jesse and Elizabeth Roberts Townsend who the cemetery notes say are right near by. While I did not see a marker with their names, there is a Townsend monument near by. Since I'm not 100% sure this is theirs I didn't add it. Please let me know if you would like me to.
Also, please note their locations are different then noted on the memorial page:
Israel Lewis Townsend- Mountain Meadows Lot: 01687 Grave: 7
Mary Townsend- Mountain Meadows Lot: 01687 Grave: 8
Jesse Townsend- Mountain Meadows Lot: 01687 Grave: 9
Elizabeth Roberts Townsend- Mountain Meadows Lot: 01687 Grave: 10

Nancy's maiden name was Gorham -- mistakenly written Garum in county marriage records.

|Lori Kapler||Elizabeth Townsend|
The cemetery office at Glendale has confirmed that Elizabeth Townsend was buried in Block 15, Section 1, space 252; however, I walked all over that area and could not find the grave. Since it is such an old area, many stones are no longer there so I am assuming that is what happened to Elizabeth's stone.

|Peddle||Mary and Robert Jones Photo Request|
I found a Robert Jones B:4 Nov 1846 D: 3 Jan 1936

There are 4 or 5 unmarked field stones at the end of the row where the Jones are buried. Hope this helps.

|Dorothy Hartman||Robert Jones's wife(s)|
I found two marriages for our great great grandfather Robert Jones in Ancestry.com. I think they were sisters:
first marriage to Jane Clemons 13, July 1831, from Madison Co., KY Marriage Records, 1790-1843. Then second marriage to Mary A. Clemons, 12 July 1865, in North Carolina Marriage Bonds, 1741-1868. I am trying to research where Jane is buried as I would guess he married Mary A. after her death. Do you have the same information?

|Brandy Wells Murray||Question on William Jasper Wells|
Hey Jason, it's been a while since we last chatted on here or email. (Whichever way) Ha.
Anyway, my aunt seems to think that a William Jasper Wells might have married a Amanda Jane McCraken and had Lucy Wells who married Louis Alexander (Alex or Elic) Wells.
You have any thing like this? Or any thoughts. I have Louis Alexander Wells marrying a Lucy Ann Dickerson. But I have nothing else to go on. I don't have parents for her.
Any help would be great. My email is email@example.com if you don't have it or you can message me here.

I was hoping you had another name she may have used since the cemetery had no record by this name and date. I will stop at the office and see if I can get more information on Marion Pierce.

Lucy was Henry Clay's 3rd wife. I have verified this through his last will that was filed in Ste Gen. probate court records. Lucy & henry wer married in ST Francois county on Dec 12 1882. They had a son Herman C born in East Bonne Terre on 4-30-1890. He married Eliz. Jones 11-8-1915.
I have don a lot of research on Hughes, Pinkston, patterson and Reeder. My son-in-law is a patterson.

|Olin E. Hartley||Suggestion|
Hi Jason -
Hope you don't mind a suggestion. I see that you have had a phto request in since 2009 for Joseph Townsend. My suggestion is o take it out and put it in again. My guess is that there are new members in F.A.G. in the last 3 years. It has worked for me, but to be honest, not very often. My interest is his wife, Mary Hartley, my 1st cousin, 5 times removed. She may have been buried with him in Short Creek Cemetery.
Thanks for considering this request.

I posted the photo of Sheriff W. E. Herron. There are two newspaper articles from 1896 on Herron and a bit of of mysterious death. I didn't want to post them for the obvious reasons. If you are unable to find them, let me know and I will email them to you.

I have to apologize regarding the burials at Zion Lutheran Cemetery. I went by the cemetery today and found four of your memorials. Will add the pictures if you would change to the correct cemetery. Just go to the memorial and where it shows the cemetery just hit Edit and follow the directions. If you wait for Find-A-Grave to combine the cemeteries it may take a while. Again I apologize.
