Hi Kim - I am trying to find my family, which would be related to Juanita Edith Miller Cook. If you were requested by anyone to add Monroe & Rillie Edge Miller #68985221 to this site, or any other family members, can you please give them my information or contact me.

George E Huddleston
My name is Carol Huddleston. I am asking for permission to take your picture of this man and his wife, Alma for my personal record collection. He is my Great Uncle, brother to my Grandfather. I have been comparing my picture of my grandfather to the one you have here on Find A Grave and the resemblance is uncanny. I am working through a friends computer when we found this. If you have any other Huddleston pictures, please let me know. They might be some of my ancestors. Thank you so very much.

Transfer
Kim,

If you don't mind, I would love to have the following:

Netter Rolley
Lena Rolley
Albert Sherrod (my uncle)

They are all buried in Lee Cemetery. I have been trying hard all summer break to do what I can to add to this site. If you run across anything I have set up, please don't hesitate to ask for a transfer.

Not a complete stranger--a cousin. Netter and Lena's granddaughter. :)

Is James Mitchell a relative of yours? I would hate to cut on the bush since the caretaker of the cemetery has left it, but that thing needs to be cut back and the other brush needs to be cleared out.

Photo Request
Sorry it was James Mitchell. I was unable to locate a marker for William Moore, but I could have just over looked it. I will check back.

William Mitchell - Photo Request
Kim,

An Azalea was planted close to this marker, and it is very over grown. However, the main problem is a huge woody plant and briars have grown in between the Azalea and the marker. I was unable to get any reasonable photo of William's sided of the marker. Sorry.

The rest of the cemetery is very clear, but the front of this marker was barely visible.

Thank you for catching my mistake with Brooxie Browning. I have deleted the incorrect photo, but not before I realized I needed to save it to add it to the correct photo. I will look the other lady up and get a better photo of her stone soon. Thank you again for catching my mistake and I apologize for the amount of time it took for me to correct it.

RE: Joseph Mitchell Memorial# 36741510
Hello,

My husband is actually from the area and we usually travel to that area and do grave hunting while we ar up there. I found that picture while going through archives there. That's another thing I like to do with any historical societies or libraries in the area. Hopefully we can get back up there soon because there are a few more I would like to do some research on.

Cynthia Boatright Raleigh
Question about Raleigh/Rolley
Hi Kim: I am working on my husband's family tree (Raleigh, William 1873 was his GGrandfather through Yewell) and thought I'd ask you about something I haven't yet found any follow-up for. The 1880 census for Zilpha Groves Raleigh reflects the name Rodgers, which we figure is a mistake for Raleigh. The younger of the two "Rodgers" children is listed as Robert. William was older than Hyland, although William is not listed at all as a brother to Hyland, and in view of that, Robert would appear to be a third child, younger than Hyland. Do you have any information about whether Robert was a third child who possibly died soon after, or if this was yet another mistake on this 1880 census?

Ferd Steffens
Ferd Steffens is my grandfather Otto Henry Steffens brother. My first cousin Frank Vernon, is the only one( of the grand kids) that I know of that ever met Ferd. He said that Ferd was just like and looked like grandpa Steffens

RE: Heineke
You are SO welcome! I am sorry that the quality of the photos is not the best. As I stated, some were so weathered they were hard to read and the one stone was so shiny. Shiny stones are so hard to phototgraph. If I get back to the cemetery at a different time of day I will see if I can get any better photos for you.

Susan Morris
Morris's
Hi there, I'm Susan Morris, the daughter of Linda and Liggett Morris, who are both buried in Nebo cemetary. D.C. Morris was my grandfather. I just thought I'd be helpful lol but D.C. Morris was David Cicero Morris instead of Cisero. Also Nicholas Morris was my brother, the son of Linda and Liggett Morris. Me and my brothers are more than willing to help with any clarification if you need it, we knew or know most of the people out that way. So please don't hesitate if you have any questions, this is a great thing you are doing!

Old Wahlmann
Kim,

I am trying to find gravesites for a couple of Wahlmann brothers that were buried at Campbell Hill, Jackson County, Illinois. They were Ernest Wahlmann (1831-abt 1897) and Charles William Wahlmann (1835-1926); both of them were German immigrants from back in 1852 in port of New Orleans. So far neither one of them have been listed on FindAGrave.com; I am hoping that you might be able to locate their graves, take photos of them, and post them to FindAGrave for me. Thank you very much!

Gene D. Warren
RE: Brueggemann and Koester family
Hi Kim,

Carl W. Koester (Charles was his Americanized name), born 29 October 1806 in Rusbend of the Countship of Schaumburg-Lippe (now Germany), married Johanna Schoppe (or Schoppen) on 1 February 1844. They had 12 children. He died 10 August 1882 and she died 6 January 1868. They are both buried in Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery, Prairie, Randolph County, Illinois.

Carl W. (or Charles) is my great-great grandfather on my mothers side. I have never been able to find information about the family of Carl's wife, Johanna.

I am related to the Brueggemann family only through one of Carl's other children, so I don't feel I have a "claim" for a transfer. Thank you for your offer. I would like to find out more about the family of Johanna Schoppe (or Schoppen, Schuppan, Schappen) if you have more information.

I can also send you other relationships of Koester and Brueggemann families (with proof)off the public forum. The emails can get quite lengthy and sometimes require attached pdf's. I have been researching my family since 1968. My email address is gwarren at htc.net.

Thanks,
Gene

RE: Habermann
Hi Kim,
It's nice of you to offer to transfer the Habermann memorials; although they are only related to me very distantly. Unfortunately, I wouldn't have any information to add to the page. So, it doesn't matter to me, whether you want to transfer them or keep them. Either way, I appreciate the offer.
Thanks,
Sheryll

Balthazar
Flat Rock Cemetery
Dear Kim,

Most of the names at Flat Rock Cemetery were based on burial records and the stones that were intact enough to read. If a name doesn't show up on the list, it doesn't mean they weren't buried there. It just means that their stone may be illegible or missing or that the death certificate listed the wrong cemetery, which does sometimes happen. I'm really sorry I couldn't help.
