Don't remember if I thanked you for adding his memorial photo. Very nice, I'm sure his parents would be pleased as well. This is a line I've been researching to find if they connect to my paternal grandma's line, for a gal that didn't have family connections for her ancestors. Another person thought we might connect so put us in contact.

John James "JJ" McCartan was my paternal great grandfather. I did not know him, he died before I was born. But I knew all of his children, except Austin who also died before I was born. I am also godfather to 2 of Michael and Peggy McCartans children. Michael was the son of Mary Nolan and Francis McCartan. Francis was John J.'s son.
If you would like, feel free to visit my family tree information in ancestry ("Mullen" family tree). It is maintained by my wife Sandi (sandi803).

Thank you so much for the headstone picture for Thomas McCartan. I was wondering if there was a headstone for his wife Ellen/Ella Collins McCartan nearby. I'm not sure if she is buried there so I haven't set her up in find a grave. Any information you might have would be appreciated.

|Linda Christianson||Thank You!|
Thank you so much for locating the marker of my great great great grandfather, Mathaus Gehrig.
I am overwhelmed by your kindness in helping me trace my ancestors.
Through the link found on my great great great grandfather's information of his son, I was able to gain additional information along with clues to where they would have been born and where they first settled when they came to the US.
I can now continue to look for additional info from immigration and census records.
Please accept my sincerest gratitude for taking the time to help me.
Blessings to you and your family.
