Carol, Haven't heard from you in a while but just saw this and wanted to say how wonderful it is that you helped in getting the magnificent current day marker for him! What a great idea.

|Phyllis||RE: Carola Dalton|
I would be glad to correspond with you about Carola. Carola's mother, Nancy Lyle Dalton, and my great-grandmother were sisters. Carola was my second cousin, once removed.
When my grandmother died, she had a box of old photographs and the picture of Carola was among those old pictures. I also have several pictures that were in the box that I have been unable to identify. I would love to email copies of those to you to see if you may recognize any of them.

Hi, Carol . . .
Thanks for your note. I was confused as to which wife my Great Uncle Jimmy married first. I only looked at the 1930 Census, where he and the 3 children were listed with Ara (Ida had already died).
Uncle Jimmy also had two children by Ara Letlow, but they are still living in Texas.
I appreciate your prompt response to me!

My grandmother, Helen Minnie Potts, was born in AR to Josephine Scott Nolan and William H Potts. On Josephine Potts death certificate it states that her mother was Martha Helen Williams born in TN and her father was Francis Scott Nolan. Mattie had other children and I have other pictures of her and her family. Please contact me if we can share info.

Hello, Ms. Carol. Thank you so much for the lovely picture from Sandy Mountain Cemetery. Do you know if that is the same cemetery as Pecan Cemetery? Thank you and bless you

|Irememberu||RE: Elizabeth Gibson 1809 - 1904|
Gary Gibson, with whom I correspond about our genealogy, found her on a census as Elizabeth Ricks. She had a son Daniel Ricks and Gary checked his death certificate for his mother and father's names. Elizabeth was listed with the maiden name of Lee from Coffee County, GA. A father was not listed.
I think she is the Elizabeth Rix who was the third wife of James Gibson. James is buried in Pecan Creek. His first wife was Peggy Morrow and his second was Elizabeth Backues.
My ggg-grandfather was John C. Gibson who is buried at Pecan. What is your Gibson connection?
P.S. It's interesting that her maiden name was Lee and she was from Coffee County, GA. My ggg-grandfather, John Passmore of Coffee County, GA was married to Sarah Lee and Harriet Lee.

I noticed you added Elizabeth Gibson to the Sandy Mountain Cemetery. Do you know who she is? I'm thinking she must be a sister to my GGG-Grandfather, John C. Gibson, 1803-1859, who's buried in the Pecan Creek Cemetery. All the other Gibsons are buried there and it seems strange Elizabeth should be elsewhere.
