RE: Day line
What I have is here:

Henry M Day started going by the name Harry shortly after moving from TN to TX. Harry, the younger is in his father's household in the 1900 census.

What do you have to document Frieda's full name? All I have is her first name from the census.

RE: James Harrison McDonald grave
Hey, you're welcome. There is a lovely landscaped cremation section in this cemetery where some who may have had their ashes spread in the gravel "river" also have nameplates that can be found along a stone wall. I re-checked all those nameplates the other day but didn't find anyone I have on my list. I couldn't help but notice one deceased person has about 6 name plates which seemed odd, but perhaps his family is only spreading a portion of the ashes each year (during an annual memorial for him perhaps). Anyway, that appears to be a new option for folks whose close relatives were cremated. Thanks so much for letting me know what you found out. ~Candice

You asked for photos of the Beemans in Greenwood memorial Cemetery. This facility was started in the late 1950s so they are probably in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Greenwood. I live in Greenwood.

Forgot to send you the link to the names in this cemetery.
Cothran's are not listed in this.

RE: Samuel & Elizabeth Cochran
This is a smaller cemetery. We looked and looked. Some of the stones were hardly visable. Many had flat Unknown markers. We may try again later and try a small wire brush or chalk even. I feel they are missing the stones or some markers look like old concrete and without markings. I enjoyed trying for you. Here is a aerial view link.

Jemima & Eli Ricketson
Hi Carol,

I was able to return to the Oxford Cemetary near Llano, Tx. recently. Eli was not buried next to Jemima. For some reason, probably the time of day and light on the tombstone of Jemima, the name Eli showed up clearly and the initials on the stone seem to be G. J. Ricketson and not J. J. (Jemima Jane) Could Jemima have been spelled with a G? The DOB and DOD match Jemima's. I took another picture of the stone and would be glad to send it to you or replace the one I previously submitted.

RE: Horton Cemetery
Hi Carol ~ Wish I could have found tombstones for them. It's such an interesting cemetery! Way back in the woods down a narrow dirt road...and at the end of the road you come to the cemetery. There are so many old, old graves there... Many just marked with a stone... Appreciated the opportunity to visit that cemetery once again :)

Jemima Ricketson
Hi Carol,

I was at Oxford Cemetary in Llano County today and looked for Jemima Ricketson's grave. I took pictures of several Ricketsons, but could not find hers, then when I downloaded from the camera and zoomed in I realized one of the stones said J Ricketson and the dates matched. Unfortunately, the stone says "wife of ___ Ricketson and the letter is missing or unreadable. Next time I am out that way I will look to see if Eli is next to her. When I have time I will post the other Ricketsons I found.

Downs in Palestine, TX
Hi, Carol. I just created memorials for Willis Newton Downs, memorial #54289932, and his wife Lucy Crawford Downs, memorial #54289836. Don't know if they are relatives but thought I'd let you know just in case. ...Paula

RE: Downs Photos in Holly Springs Cem.

The log shows only one more Downs in Holly Springs: Mary E., 15 Oct. 1871--19 Oct. 1880. There are two Roberts showing: Wayne B. & Venita F. 1925--1987. Eliza Jane doesn't show up in the names index for this part of Van Zandt ( South of I-20 and East of Hwy. 19 ) nor do any more Downs. I always find something interesting in the logs such as a surname Spottedbear for a couple in Holly Springs.

Best regards, Wayne

RE: Downs Photos in Holly Springs Cem.
You are very welcome. My wife has relatives there and I enjoy going there as it is such a pretty place. If you find there are other Downs there just let me know and I will try to find them. I have Van Zandt Co.'s Graveyards, Southeastern section that includes Holly Springs and it's just a matter of looking there which gives row #'s.
