Julie thank you so very much for taking the photo of christine's gravestone its beatiful. Christine was my half sister, I never got to know her but always wanted to know her. I didnt even know she exsisted until I was an adult. I have been searching for years and had given up. Fate helped me find her when i started a family tree. I was so saddened to find her a year to late! But i was happy to know she lived a good life and was so very loved. Thanks again Martin Swetmore

On her history it is said that John B. King was
the first person at Powell.
(That is not correct.)
He first was in Kings Valley, which is named
In 1850 he was in Loonisville, which is up
Mikes Creek near Fox.
It wasn't until between 1850 and 1860 that he
actually moved Close to Powell.
This would be very misleading to researchers.

After reading your bio, I see that you may not be related to Samuel Everett Clanton and Mary Louise Clanton. If this be the case, I would love to have their memorials transferred to me since my maiden name was Clanton. My membership # is 46771921. Although they are not part of my immediate family, they are related. I would then transfer them on to a closer relative should I receive such a request. Thanks for your consideration.

I mulled this one over for a while, trying to figure out correct last name. Rather confusing.
Until maybe a family member can straighten it out,
will go with name on marker.
thank you for your email. Betty
