Well..I finally got back (you probably thought I forgot!)to Kensico to look for Evelyn and guess what..I'm NOT going mad! Sadly, there is no stone for her...I'm sorry. I have some cemetery records for that plot. Would you like me to scan and send?
Sorry about no stone.

I would be happy to find Anna's cemetary plot if you could find the section she is in. Holly cross is divided into saints- if you can find the saint i would be happy to search for her plot.

I was going to go to Holly Cross in Az to take pictures for you but the management doesnt allow pictures unless I have a signed notorized letter from the family stating it is ok to take a picture. I think it is ridiculous.. so if you have any suggestions I am up to help.

Yes the Euell, (wife Mary Louise and daughter Mary Evelyn) was James 1/2 nephew.

God bless you, dear. Yes, Ada Smith is the mother of Lucinda Smith Minter, wife of James W. Minter. I forgot to request her. James Minter's mother married John Ezell 22 Oct 1885 after she married unknown Minter. They had a son, George. His son, Euell Homer Ezell is buried at New Zion. Our dilemma is we don't know the name of James Minter's father nor Ada Smith's husband. James W. Minter and Lucinda are my husband's great grandparents; Ada Smith is his GGgrandmother. Thanks to their 3 grandsons, all over 80 themselves, they now have grave markers.

|Dianne Minter||RE: Minter request new zion baptist chuch|
Yes. Their 80 year-old grandson bought and laid the markers about 2 years ago. They graves had never been marked. I was afraid the old guys would die before this was done. The lists, I am sure, predate the laying of these markers. They are near the other Minter graves. Thanks

|Katie Pearl||James Moreland|
I've just received a second email saying there is a problem with my request for a photo for James Moreland's headstone. I sent a previous note when I got the first email stating I already have the photo and wasn't sure why a request went in, so I'm not sure why I've received this notice again. I went to my list of requests and it's not there, so there must be a glitch in the system. So,....I appreciate the effort, but I don't need this photo. Kay

|Philip Hayes||RE: westchester almshouse|
There was a Pierce Whalen who died at the home of his niece, Mrs Anna Kovestes in Poughkeepsie in August 1931. Any relation? You can find this and other articles about possible matches at http://fultonhistory.com/Fulton.html. Search for "Pierce Whalen" (with he quotes) and choose Boolean.
Have you considered contacting a "Random Act Of Genealogical Kindness" volunteer regarding research at the Westchester Archives? There is someone named Christine Semlear who will to go to the archives and look things up for you at no charge. You can read more about RAOGK at: http://www.raogk.org/faq-requesters.htm

Not sure what the problem is here. I have the photo already in my tree which I'm sure I got from Find A Grave, so not sure how the request came about, but appreciate your note. Thanks anyway, Kay
