We have been in touch before.

My story about the temporary American GELA Cemetery in Sicily is finished. Over 1,200 young American men and women who had been killed in Sicily in 1943 were buried in this cemetery.

I have put the story, the Roll of Honor, and pictures on a DVD, title for the DVD is "They stayed behind".

Re: Photo Request for PFC Grady MaBry
Hello Loren, my name is Donna Harris, F.A.G. #4755980 and I live in Rome, GA. I noticed that you have requested a photo for PFC Grady MaBry at East View Cemetery in Rome, GA. The original creator for the memorial, James Pratt requested a photo request in June 2014. Upon further research with the cemetery office, I discovered that PFC Grady MaBry was buried at Shadyside Cemetery in Rome, GA. East View cemetery manager, Roger, said that Mr. MaBry was never buried at East View. On June 26, 2014 I created a memorial for PFC Grady Mabry, Find A Grave Memorial# 131918335, at Shadyside Cemetery and with Mr. Pratt’s assistance to provide original photos of Grady and his Infantry members I was able to add the photos not only to Grady’s memorial but other members as well. I just wanted to let you know about the memorial. Have a wonderful day. Donna Harris

Thanks, Lloyd was one of my cousins. I like to stop by and take a few pictures when I am on vacation. The new app really makes it easier to see who has requested them.

No, I live in KCMO but because of my interest in the situation and being a very distant relative, I flew out there just for the day. It was my first trip and it was incredibly moving.

Lt. Beethe burial
Loren, I posted a new photo from Lt. Alvin Beethe's burial at Arlington on Monday on Lt. Beethe's memorial. It was an incredibly moving yet exhilarating service. There were many photos I could have posted but chose the one with the band in front of the procession symbolizing full military honors.

John DeFrance
The newspaper article you posted for John DeFrance Sr. is actually of John DeFrance Jr. The original John DeFrance died in 1926 and couldnt have been in a 1942 newspaper.
