You sent:

"Grandson: Lawrence Kirkland Sanders #109578197"

Are you asking me to add this to the bio section? It may seem obvious to you what you are saying/requesting, but I don't like to assume anything. I like verbs in edits sent to me (link, add to bio section, etc.). Also, who are Lawrence's parents? If his father were link to him and his father were linked to James....

1. You sent:

"Refer to following link:

http://katharinesweb.net/Ancestors/Alexander/FAA.htm"

What did you want me to do with this? I need specific instructions accompanying edits. Did you want me to cut and paste this to the memorial, or to follow the link and read it, etc.

2. Also, for Randolph Kirkland you sent a similar thing, instructions?

3. Finally, you sent:

"Randolph Withers Kirkland born November 18, 1894, married Louise Richardson on December 31, 1918. They had five children:

•Randolph Withers Kirkland, Jr.
•Joseph Lane Kirkland
•Mary Richardson Kirkland
•Katharine Kirkland
•Thomas Jefferson Kirkland III"

Are any of these people living? We're not supposed to list living people on here. If not, can you send edits on the memorial of the remaining three children and have them liked to their father?

You sent:

"Correction?

Death notice lists children of Thomas. The 3 children linked to him are not listed in death notice:

Isaac Lenoir Sanders 62694569
Edward Dudley Sanders 62694628
James Haile Sanders 62694622"

First of all, Dudley is mentioned in the bio section and Isaac had already died. As for James, I really don't know, all of the links and bio wee sent to me were sent to me. I get so many edits per day that I cannot possibly keep up with who sent what or check the validity of the information (that's why this is a grave registration site and not a genealogy site, most of us just accept what we're sent for links edits, etc.). If what is sent to me isn't just obviously wrong, I make the changes. I might know who sent this edit to me. I'll try to find out more.

Re: Thomas Kirkland married Celeste Rowlette
There is no stone in that lot with the name Celeste. Without knowing where her grave marker is, I have no way to link them. I did, however, add her name to his memorial page.

Re: Lawrence Kirkland Sanders
Although there is no mention of the children or grandchildren of Fredericka Kirkland and James Sanders on the web page you referenced, I accepted your edits for Fredericka's parents and spouse.

I do not know of a way to link grandchildren.

I'd like to thank you for adding this cemetery to the database, and also for the photos. My Husband's great aunt was Sister Mary Alacoque. If I send you a short bio would that be appropriate?
Thank you,

Good Morning! What a lovely surprise to wake up to! Thank you SO much for transferring Pennie to me! I will take loving care of her memorial.

My work here on findagrave has mostly been for my family, but I have had the privilege of creating memorials for a tiny forgotten cemetery in my county, the privilege of documenting most the graves in a historical cemetery in another county, and a few graves here and there as well. I look forward to the time when family members contact me asking for transfers or asking that I add information to the memorials of their loved ones.

You did a beautiful job on Pennnie's memorial. It would be absolutely lovely for you to add photo's of her and her husband's headstones. Thank you for offering.

God Bless,
Maurene

Dear L. M. W. and Sister,

What a pleasant surprise!
Thank you so much for the obit for Emily Casey.
All I need is a monument photo and it will be
complete, Since you wrote, I have requested that.
Thanks to your sister, perhaps we can get some
more memorials completed. Send any thing you
can that will personalize the memorials on this
site.

I joined Find A Grave as I have a huge stack of genealogical quarterlies, cemetery lists, etc. that I have been trying to share on this website. It is a shame that some members will not post a obituary, even an old one.

Tell you sis thanks, and I hope to hear from
you soon with any family information that you
have to share.

Sincerely,

Janet Milburn

RE: John C. Armstrong
I went ahead and added the obit to Margaret's memorial. If you would like to remove the text for the flower, that is okay. It's also okay if you want to leave it.

I know that some people take the Find A Grave guidelines to mean that obits should never be published here. The guidelines do not read that way. Generally speaking, obits that were published as long ago as these are no longer under copyright and the guidelines allow for that. So, I have no issues with posting them.

I greatly appreciate your effort in transcribing these. I have no idea if I ever will get back to Green Bay, so would not be able to search the archives for these. Following the deaths of my sister and her husband, I no longer have any close family in the area. The information you have provided is very valuable to me and I thank you again.

Best Regards,

Daniel

RE: John C. Armstrong
I hadn't noticed the flower posting for Margaret. Thank you. Let's leave it for now.

This one gives me pause for thought, as well. I know that Margaret had a brother who came to the U.S. before she did. I am pretty sure that was Thomas Atkinson, who is in the Allouez Catholic Cemetery. He was father to Maggie Mahon and I spent a fair amount of time with Maggie's son, Jack, and her daughters when I was growing up. I knew they were cousins through the Atkinsons. What I did not know was that Robert Armstrong's wife, Sarah, was Margaret's sister. This brings up some questions as to whether or not I am correct about the relationship between Thomas and Margaret. Thomas was born in 1816 and Sarah was apparently born in 1842. That would say that their mother had at least 26 years of childbearing. Not unheard of, I suppose. But, a large enough span to throw doubt on what I thought I knew. Looks like I need to rethink my research.

Thank you for all this information. It is greatly appreciated.

John C. Armstrong
Thank you very, very much for the obituaries for John C. Armstrong. He was my second great grandfather and, while I have the obituaries for his sons, Henry Robert, John Charles, and James Thomas, I do not have anything for him, or his wife Margaret. My grandmother was the keeper of the family records and she did not become a member of the family until about 1916. By that time, both John C. and Margaret had died. If you happen to come across the obits for Margaret Armstrong or Sarah Armstrong Allen, I would be eternally grateful.

The second obit for John, has actually thrown me for a bit of a loop. I assume that the reference to Rushlea, Ireland is actually meant to be Rosslea, in County Fermanagh. This is interesting, as I always assumed that John, like Margaret, was from County Sligo. I have a letter from her father that mentions her brother knew him. This helps open up another avenue of search for his parents.

In addition, the mention of Hillas Atkinson as a lifelong friend is also interesting. I have never known the exact relationship between him and Margaret. I am pretty sure they were at least cousins. Her father also mentions him is his letter. Hillas built the house Henry Robert Armstrong lived in on Walnut Street. It is now the Glass Haus. It was designated an historical landmark a few years ago.

Anyway, thank you, thank you, thank you!

Best Regards,

Daniel Allen

I've read his obituary long ago.

The Find a Grave guidelines ask that you not include obituaries unless you have written it.

I know many people do. Many here, need to take a few minutes and read the guidelines before adding memorials. Thanks for your concern.
