RE: Wood Cemetery, Laurens Co., GA
You made the post to Stephanie Auman (#47167538). If you go to the Wood Cemetery page, she has the only outstanding photo request.

Thanks for the directions for the cemetery. Should be easy to find. I appreciate the info about the markers, too. We're looking forward to visiting next time we're in Laurens Co.

I saw your post to another contributor concerning this cemetery. You said that your aunt and grandfather restored it to it's current condition, so I am hoping you know where this cemetery is. My husband is a gg grandson of David and Margaret Glover Wood and until today, we did not know about this cemetery. Can you please tell me where it is located?

Seaborn R Boyd
I am confused. You have Seaborn R Boyd # 18078083 buried in Galbreath Cemetery in Alston, Montgomery County, GA. However, Wendy has the same Seaborn R Boyd #44765289 buried in Galbreath Cemetery in Vidalia, Toombs County, GA. The photos are different but are of the same stone and grave. Even the cemetery sign photos are of the same sign. What gives? Exactly where is the Galbreath Cemetery? Would appreciate any help. Lucy Raulerson Williams

S. F. Estes
I have the same exact DOB and DOD as you have for S. F. Estes exact I show his name is Smith Ferguson "Fog" Estes. He is NOT in my direct line but a 1st cousin 1x removed. I DO show Smith Ferguson "Fog" Estes lived in Globe, Caldwell, North Carolina in 1880 AND that census shows his wife's name as Mary M. Estes. But I have not found any marriage information. It shows they had a child named Chaney A. Estes born in 1878. Maybe you would rather not correct it and let me simply add a separate note that I think that is who it is. I'm just wondering how many people search Find A Grave with only initials and if he would be found. You decide. You know better than me. I hope this is enough information for you to decide. By the way, his father is Lott Estes, Jr. if that helps and his mother is Chaney Green - both of which you have listed in the cemetery. Thanks so very much for all you do for Find A Grave.

Lot Estes
Hello. Would you please correct his name to show it is Lot Estes, Jr. His father was Lot Estes, Sr. I show his father's dates were
Lott Estes Sr.
Birth 14 Oct 1777 in Caswell County, N.C., USA
Death 12 Aug 1857 in North Carolina, USA

so this Find A Grave page is clearly Lot Sr.'s son. I do have the exact same dates as you for Lot, Jr.. I simply think it should show "Jr." after his name.

Thanks so very much for all you do for so many. I appreciate it very much.

I think you are right; she died in 1946. There is a strikeover on the date at the bottom of the death certificate, too, which seems to turn a 5 into a 6. And Uncle Setz (my uncle was the coroner) did write 1946. I hesitate to unbury gravestones without photo requests, but I can get an OK to do that.

I am helping find info for a friend who is a Webb descendant. Keep watch on the Burke County Webbs to see if we turn up anything interesting.

No, I am not kin to Ray but my grandfather was one of the ministers who officiated at his funeral. I often get information from obituaries because they sometimes give a little glimpse into the kind of person he or she was.

Yes, I will post it later today. We only have dial up internet and I had to shut down the computer so our son could make a work call. Dial up is our only option we have.

DONE. I went by what the marker said Nellie. I found yours as Eloanor. I only posted it because I did not see a Nellie listed.

Use the edit tab at the top of the memorial, select suggest a correction, make your request, give relationship and provide your findagrave ID #. This will create an email link to the memorial requested. Also transfers cannot be made without your ID #.

Charlotte Winters Frye
Who were Serug's parents?
Hello,

My name is Charlotte Winters Frye. My great-grandmother was Mary Catherine Webb (born about 1850), formerly of Patterson,Caldwell, NC. She married Marion Alexander Winters in Patterson. Her father was born about 1819 around Collettesville. His name was John Henry Webb, but we have no idea who his parents were. He married a Nancy Merriman in Patterson. We are trying to find out how he is related to the Webbs in the Adako/ Collettesville/ Patterson area.

Do you know anything about Serug's parents or siblings? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

My Webb/ Winters group moved from Patterson to Pensacola, Yancey County but then they ended up in Elk Park, NC. I reside in Mitchell County and teach at North Cove School in McDowell.

I would appreciate any information about the Webbs in Collettesville/ Adako to see if I can find my great-great grandfather's family.

Thank you, Charlotte Winters Frye
