Hi Nancy -
All I could even guess is that they lost contact with him and assumed he was still alive. My personal experience: I lost contact with my brother when he disappeared in 1979 and got a call in 1986 that he had died in a car accident. Had I not gotten that call and had passed in 1987, my wife might have put that he had survived me.

|Don Short||Isaac Wright Jr.|
Nancy; I found the information in the New York Gen-Web site for Tompkins County. He is listed in the Danby area under the South Danby cemetery. Junior was only age 4 when his mother Betsey died so he may be living with someone else. There is a Isaac of the right age living with a John Wright in Cayuga county. This John born 1800 may be related to Isaac Sr. Regards....Don

I have added the last paragraph to his memorial. Did you want all of the info added? If so, please send a proper correction using the edit tab on the memorial with the info exactly as you would like to have it posted on the memorial.

I've done the edits you requested for Robert Touchett. I would be happy to transfer this memorial to you if you'd like. I noticed from your findagrave bio you were working on the decedents of Thomas Touchett.

I found it. It is in Tompkins Co and I was not looking there. Thanks for the extra details. The info has been added to the memorial. Please let me know if I should add more.

|Daryl Doty Holloway||Michael Handy|
Re the correction you sent to me: Michael Handy owned the farm where the Michael Handy Cemetery was built. He and Catherine lived there on the 1880 and 1892 NY census
I know of no Michael Handy Cemetery. Was it the same land on which Maple Grove Cemetery is now and where the Handy's are buried?
Please clarify if you can.

Nancy; If you look at the photo of the stone it says "Her Mother" not his mother. Regards....Don

Your welcome. Here is a link to on-line copies of the Barrie Examiner. If you search the last name of Touchette you come up with almost 100 hits in the paper. It may be worth checking out.

Nancy, I can't take credit "for adding Hazel's maiden name and the connection to her parents." Someone else did that. All I did was add photos for Hazel & William, and I submitted a spousal link.

|Mary Phillips||Dr. Frederick W. Phillips|
I've just joined the Find A Grave group and appreciate all of the work you have done researching our family. Dr. Frederick W. Phillips and Louise Emma Pilon Phillips were the parents of my father, Frederick Wendell Phillips. I do have additional information on some of our relatives, so I look forward to working with you.
Again, my sincere thanks!

|Oscar||William Leslie Brown|
Thank you for your suggestion that his father was Francis C. "Frank" Brown! It made me want to find out more about Francis. Turns out his full name is Carlton Francis Brown (see, for example, his WWI draft registration card).
In his marriage record to Carrie Fuller he is called Francis C. Brown. The record states he would be 22 on June 29, 1899 (thus b. 1877).
In his death record he is called Carl F. Brown (divorced husband of Carrie Brown). His date of birth is given as June 29, 1877. In most records (census) he is found as Carlton Brown and he is called Carl in his cemetery record.
Death certificates for Carlton and his mother are available at familysearch.org. His marriage record and the marriage record of his parents are also available at familysearch.org.

Thanks for the information, but where can I find her death record? Her birth information is not listed in the Weston Vital Records.

You had requested photos of Eugene, Clarence, and Sarah Gray. I have also added other photos of Grays' from the same plot. There were 4 other headstones labeled "Mother" and "Father" which are either Chauncey W (1857-1924) and Carrie L (1857-1925) or Charles I (1865-1920) and Catherine R (1865-?). I did not attach those photos as I could not determine which were which. I hope these photos help you with your research. Photos added: Arthur J, Clayton, Ella, Henry H, Irene R, Isabell A, John A, John C, Nora Gray Hall, Marion, Robert C, Betty Jane, Lina, Margaret Olga, and Richard.

You are correct in the sons you listed for Ellery. I am his great great great granddaughter. Notice I added 3 additional children on his grave picture page.

|Ted Phillips||RE: James and Elizabeth|
Can I get an email address from you so that I can send my family tree. As Richard Phillips was my great grandfather and it looks like James is my great great grandfather. It looks like James and Elizabeth were married in the Toronto area in 1839. Have you ever looked for the marriage certificate ?

|Ted Phillips||Richard Phillips|
Nancy, I really like the information that you provided on my great grandfather Richard Phillips. However , I cannot find much information on his father James Phillips or his mother Elizabeth Rutledge. In the 1851 Canadian census I found a James Phillips with a wife Elizabeth and a 3 sons, one of who's name is Richard, but I cannot find anything else. Do you have anymore information.
