Frank Myers
You have the correct Frank William Myers (#40706609 - buried at Oak Hill Cem). I was asking for permission to post the photos you've taken of his, and other members of his family's grave markers. Photos of these people would be great, but I am happy to find photos of their markers. :o) Just let me know if it's OK to post your photos, with credit, to my Ancestry.com family tree.
Thanks!
Sue S.

Frank William Myers
Thank you for connecting Frank to his parents. He was difficult to fit in.He taught me how to hunt and was more a dad to me than my real dad.He was a cousin to Joseph David Myers in Jasper Co.,but was a puzzle since his immediate family were not there,as expected.

I would greatly appreciate that, and would like to ask for these other three:

L. C. McGinnis (43768101), another sister in the same family (Lavina Clementine, 1843-1862)

David Perkins (43793834), 1st husband of Martha (McGinnis) Bird (my aforementioned great-grandmother)

and

Horace Perkins (43793802), son of David and Martha (McGinnis) Perkins (my great-uncle)

Sarah A. McGinnis, Fullerton Cemetery, Jasper Co., MO

Thank you for creating this this (43766693) memorial for my great-grandmother's older sister. I have some information that I hope you can add to it.

Her full name was Sarah Ann McGinnis, and her nickname "Sally".

She was born 15 February 1838 in Barry County, Missouri. She died 20 September 1838, also in Barry County, Missouri. At least it was Barry County during her lifetime, as Jasper County had not yet been created from Barry County.

Her parents were William S. McGinnis (14350082) and Alta Marilda (Kelley) McGinnis Fullerton (14350201).

I would be very grateful if you could make these changes

Bird Family
As an addendum to Andrea's request below, could Horace Perkins (43793802) be linked to his father (43793834), David Perkins, and his mother (43767724), Martha McGinnis (Perkins) Bird?

I know it's hard to read, but we determined 30 years ago when the stone was cleaner that David Perkins' birth year was 1842, not 1818.

TIA,

Patrick Rock

Andrea Panneck
Bird Family
Hello,

I happen to manage some of the Bird family in Missouri. I was going to link Martha McGinnis Bird #43767724 to her first husband, David S. Perkins #437938834, and noticed that you managed his profile. If you want to keep his profile would you link him to Martha's, or just transfer it to me?

Thank you
Andrea Panneck

Cemetery Discrepancy
I have a duplicate of Thomas W. Cantrell. It was recently discovered that a one-half acre of property lying adjacent to Oak Hill Cemetery is a separate cemetery owned by Jasper County. It is known locally by the funeral homes as the "pauper" cemetery.

A news article appeared last week where the County has restored it. There are only about 24-25 readable stones.

Because the death certificates of some of these people say Oak Hill (as a point of reference for location), some of them are mistakenly listed there; but are actually in the other little cemetery.

I set it up as County Cemetery, Carthage, Jasper Co., MO, because it just sounded better that Pauper and they were not necessarily poor. I was told that some were just unidentified when first buried and family located later.

I don't know the answer to this Becky,

I have a duplicate of Miles R. Butler. The reason being, it was recently discovered that a one-half acre of property that lies adjacent to Oak Hill Cemetery is a separate cemetery owned by Jasper County. It is known locally by the funeral homes as the "pauper" cemetery.

A recent news article appeared last week where the County has gone in and restored it. There are only about 24-25 readable stones.

Because the death certificates of some of these people say Oak Hill (as a point of reference for location), some of them are mistakenly listed there; but are actually in the other little cemetery. Your M. R. Butler is one of them.

I set it up as County Cemetery, Carthage, Jasper Co., MO, because I guess it just sounded better that Pauper and because they were not necessarily poor. I was told by the funeral home that some were just unidentified when first buried and family was located later.

I don't know the answer to this dilemma, but will gladly transfer the new memorial to you. Just let me know.
