RE: Ida Gibson
Ida is not on the census record with her son in Idaho in 1920. Her Idaho death certificate says she died in Twin Falls Idaho on the 17th, the Elma paper on Jan 29 said her body arrived back in Elma on Jan 22 so that is why the delay in burial. The census states her son lived in Twin Falls and I just sent that because it explains why Ida might have been there when she died. Sometimes sending lots of bits of information is confusing but I wanted you to see the whole picture.

There are lots of other interesting bits to her story such as she is on the 1910 census in Oregon and Washington because her move north was between the 2 census dates. The best advice I have heard, I guess, is keep it simple and accurate so that is why I would remove the census information and add the brief description, if it were my choice.

Thanks again for your findagrave work. It makes me happy to see my family reunited.

Ida Gibson 63677870
The census in 1920 census in Twin Falls doesn't show Ida living with her son Harry. The fact that he was living in Idaho is the reason that her death was recorded in Idaho rather than Washington and explains the article on page 1 of the Elma chronicle 1/29/1920 about her being brought back to Elma. How about we change the description to this,"Ida was in Twin Falls Idaho at the time of her death, where her son Harry had moved. Page 1 of the Elma Chronicle 1/29/1920 reports her being brought back to Elma for burial."?

Thank you Z.

You do a fine job managing the site and I appreciate your scrutiny of information someone might want to add to the site. I only put the documents up for your information and I don't see such things on most sites so I will delete them. The same goes for Harry's census data which someone looking at Lucy might not care about, though I will be happy to see his name on this page. I was privileged to know uncle Harry and he had wonderful stories about the Oklahoma land rush of his youth.

Thanks again for your work with findagrave.

Ida May (Morris) Gibson
b 15 May 1857 Oquawka, Henderson County, IL
d 17 Jan 1920 Twin Falls, TF County ID

Thank you for your generous help. I visited CS Gibson's Elma site a few years ago when I realized where it was. I sent you the obit for Ida and CS to Mr Yates. This is my first experience contributing to findagrave and both of you are patient and kind teachers. Thank you for taking care of my g grandparents before I got here.

Harry A Gibson's (the son referred to in both obits) findagrave number is 59843907 in Twin Falls Idaho. The location was mentioned in Ida's obit. Lucy Humphrey a daughter mentioned in CS obit is also in Twin Falls Idaho at Sunset Memorial Park with her husband Edwin Humphrey (I have obits and have visited there) but I don't see them on findagrave. I will get back to you if I can fix that.

August Nordman
I had no clue that a relative from Finland was buried in Washington state. My last remaining uncle recently died and I am just starting to learn about my family in Finland after going through my uncle's old letters. Facebook has been a gift in reaching out to my newly found relatives.

We plan a trip to the South Bend Cemetery this coming weekend and wonder how difficult it will be to locate August's grave. Any help you can give would be appreciated. We will be driving down from Port Townsend. Thanks for doing this for all the families trying to piece together their past. RIP August Nordman

RE: Elizabeth Dudley
Hi Z,
You're welcome! I photographed all of the markers that were in that lot that didn't already have photos posted. I also created a memorial for Winston Mansfield Dudley 1912-1973.There was a marker for him in that lot but couldn't find a memorial for him on this site. If you are family, I would be glad to transfer to you, if you'd like.

Charles Hamlin Blake in Green-Wood
Good news. I have found Charles Hamlin Blake and many of the individuals named in the bio on his page. The problem I had was solved when I realized that he was listed in the cemetery's burial database not as Charles Blake--but as Hamlin Blake, buried July 25 1901. I am about to upload the grave photos--but there are no stones. The Blakes are entombed in an impressive mausoleum. Blakes there are (with burial dates):
Alice, 9/23/1882; Ames C, 10/14/1874; Rev, James (ashes), 6/21/1926; Charles Dudley, 8/15/1883; Elizabeth D, 2/6/1885; Frederick D, 3/27/1905; Hamlin (Charles Hamlin), 7/25/1901; Helen, 7/19/1955; Lyman Dexter, 2/13/1854; Mary E, 12/28/1917; and William E, 12/28/1858.

Minnie Pippen
Is this Pippen the "M E" that is the mother of Gertie and John? She's not connected to any of them, even J R, her husband.

I'm trying to put people together. :-D

Carol (Henry) Edge
Pippen family
Hi! I got a picture of Gertie and Samuel's graves plus I found a real old one of JR (Joseph R) Pippen's grave. I took some pictures and spliced them together so you can see where they are in relationship to each other. You will notice many "baby graves" close to Samuel. They are not inscribed, that I can tell. Those may be where Minnie and Sarah are buried. I couldn't find Louisa...yet. I'm going to go back and look again. I'll also look harder for the two children, too. I'm in the process of uploading what I've done. I hope this helps. :-)

Henry Goodnight 1758-aft Mar 1845
It appears after reading the names of Goodnight Cemetery, in Purdy, that Henry Goodnight's body was brought from Giles, Tenn to Purdy, is that correct?

Henry is also my 4th great grandfather, and I have spent more than 25 years looking for the family. In Giles Tenn, in 1832 and 1840 Henry is still there, but I can't find Elizabeth Chisholm Goodnight after 1820 in Giles.

Nor have I found a family 1830 Census for she or Henry, leaving me to believe they are living with one of the children.

But I do have a cope of the military pension Henry was given for serving in the Revolutionary War, showing he recieved payment from Sep 1836 through Mar 1845 -- and no mention Elizabeth trying to have the pension sent to her. Would love to hear from you and your thoughts. My full family tree in public on under the Purdom name. Any research that is helpful to you, please use, any difference, would love to hear about it. There is a disagreement about the relatives of Elizabeth Chisholm, and am still working on that. Thanks in advance for your help.

RE: Increase Blake
I'm glad I could get this one for you and your family. It was an interesting discovery. The folks at the Essex Co. Historical had no record of his gravestone at that particular cemetery...but, with a name like Increase, I had to do whatever I could to locate him. Peace, Pat Egan

Ginger Yvonne Faught
Hello. I have found Ginger's grave at Myrtle Crest Memorial Gardens just outside of Coquille, Oregon, and have set up a memorial for her along with a picture of the headstone. I have also set up her father's memorial in the same cemetery. The Faughts lived in our neighborhood when I was growing up. If you would like me to transfer management to you, I would be happy to--just let me know.

Good luck.

RE: Daniel Vanderpool
I will try to pursue this angle to find Daniel Vanderpool's headstone. A search of Lenora's name in the Missouri Death Certificate database produces no results. Sometimes clues can be provided in these documents. Did she remarry after Daniel's death and possibly had a different last name at the time of her own death? May have to call cemetery office to see if they have a record even though he does not appear on their onsite directory.

Thank you for the info so I can update my datebase.

Have you come across records showing that his grandfather, Abraham, married Margaret Shepherd and not Margaret Stone?

Info I found was: Abraham Jr. married Margaret Stone, dau of Enoch Stone and gr/dau of Rev. War soldier Cudberth Stone. (Magoffin County Historical Society Newsletter, 2007)

Thanks again, Bill
