She may be a daughter of Edward Oakley Franks and Georgia Ann Franks. She was born in 1903. This is the only information I have been able to find on her except that she lived until sometime in the 1920's.

Magdalene Womack, age 97 of Grapeland, passed away Wednesday, March 5, 2003 in the East Texas Medical Center Crockett. Mrs. Womack was born June 6, 1905 in Austonio and was a lifetime resident of Houston County. Mrs. Womack was a housewife and a member of the South Loop Church of Christ.
Survivors include her daughter Mary Elizabeth Whitehead, of Grapeland; grandchildren Ronald Whitehead, of Houston, John Whitehead and wife Elvira, of Humble, Randy Womack and wife Pat, of Belott, Kathy Commander and husband Scott, of Crockett. Tina Burford and husband Chris, of Pflugerville; great-grandchidlren Jamie Ottersbach and husband Craig, Amy Gove and husband Michael, James Whitehead, Tammy Whitehead, Calyssa Womack, Jennifer Commander, Rachel Commander, Russell Hunziker, Megan Burford numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Preceded in death by her husband Eddie Womack; son J. E. Womack, Jr.; grandson Danny Whitehead; son-in-law Frank Whitehead; grandson-in-law Rusty Hunziker; sisters and brothers Aley LaRue, Lula McDonald, Sue Sweargin, Bertha Alford, Edward Cheairs, Eli Cheairs, and Mattie Hiroms.

Mrs. Ruth Ellis Whitehead, age 76 of Grapeland, passed away June 29, 1999, at East Texas Medical Center Crockett. Mrs. Whitehead was born May 7, 1923, in Houston County to Bryant and Mary Bell Wolf Ellis. She was a member of San Pedro Baptist Church and she was a homemaker.
Mrs. Whitehead was preceded in death by husband A. D. Whitehead in 1975, grandson Craig Morton; sisters Clara Keels, Beatrice Wright, Lucille Linder and Laverne Ball and brother Walter Ellis.
Survivors include daughter Darlene Morton and husband Jerry of Grapeland; sisters Lorine Rhone of Grapeland and Hazel Martin of Spring; brothers Hollis Ellis and Lonnie Ellis, both of Kennard and J. L. Ellis and Lacey Ellis, both of Crockett; and granddaughter Jerrilyn Morton of Grapeland.
Funeral services for Mrs. Whitehead were held July 1, 1999 at 10 a.m. at Whitehead Cemetery with the Rev. Steve Meadows officiating. Interment followed.

Eunice Whitehead Tims, age 81 of Crockett, passed away Wednesday, September 27, 2006 in the Houston County Nursing Home. Mrs. Tims was born May 3, 1925 in Houston County and was a lifetime resident of Crockett. Mrs. Tims was a housewife, a babysitter to her grandchildren and other children that were very special to her, and had worked for home health services. Mrs. Tims was a long time member of the Central Baptist Church in Crockett where she had served as Childrens Sunday School Teacher and nursery worker. The love of her life was her family. Mrs. Tims loved gardening and enjoyed taking flowers to shut-ins.
Survivors include her daughters Regina Dyches and husband Jamie, of Crockett, Diann Lee and husband Gary, of Tyler, Janice Babb and husband Johnny, of Latexo and Marsha Land and husband Michael, of Crockett; grandchildren Dana Lamb and husband Blake, of Lovelady, Marla Beard, of Whitehouse, Kristi Dowdy and husband Ken, of Crockett, Amanda Turner, of Tyler, Nicole Lee, of Plano, Jana Allen and husband Nathan, of Palestine, Jennifer Babb, of Houston, Jarrod Land and Jonathan Land, both of Crockett; great-grandchildren Garrett Lamb, Jordan Beard, Alyssa Turner, Hayden Babb, Emily Allen, Nicholas Allen and Jonathan Palmer; sisters Mattie Nick, of Crockett, Ruth Butler, and Elsie Kinard, both of Grapeland; many special friends at Houston County Nursing Home; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Ethel Elizabeth Stowe
Graveside services for Ethel Elizabeth Stowe, age 78 of Grapeland were held Wednesday, April 14, 1999 at Whitehead Cemetery with Rev. Jerry Evers officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Bailey & Foster, Grapeland.
Mrs. Stowe died Monday, April 12, 1999 at Crockett Care Center. She was born on December 19, 1920 in Nacogdoches to the late Roy Sowell and Beatrice Manning Sowell. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Stowe in 1991. Mrs. Stowe was retired from Armour Company in Houston. She was also a homemaker and a member of the Primitive Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Delores Christofferson of Grapeland and Sheila Hamilton of Houston; two sisters, Opal Lott of Denton and Louise Tompkins of Houston; one brother, William Roy Sowell, Jr. of Houston; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Wilma Shaver, age 98, of Grapeland were held Monday, November 8, 1999, at First Baptist Church in Grapeland with Rev. David Bradley and Rev. Kennith Mobley officiating. A special tribute was presented by grandson Don Shaver. Burial followed in Whitehead Cemetery under the direction of Bailey & Foster, Grapeland.
Grandsons served as pallbearers.
Mrs. Shaver died Satruday, November 6, 1999, at East Texas Medical Center in Crockett. She was born November 16, 1900, in Cherokee County to George W. and Cynthia Allen Robinson. Mrs. Shaver was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church of Grapeland.
Mrs. Shaver was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Shaver in 1973; four sons, Ivan Shaver, Harrel Shaver, Darrel Shaver and Wayland Shaver; two daughters-in-law, Tince Shaver and Rena Shaver.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Vivian and Jack Story of Tyler; a son, Elwood Shaver of Conroe; three daughters-in-law, Bobbie Shaver of Grapeland, June Shaver of Arlington, June Shaver of Arlington, and Thelma Shaver of Conroe; fifteen grandchildren; twenty-eight great-grandchildren; and thirteen great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for James Shaver age 83 of Conroe, TX were held Saturday, May 14, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel at Conroe Funeral Directors with Bro. Vince Yearwood officiating. Interment followed at the Whitehead Cemetery in Grapeland.
Mr. Shaver passed away on May 11, 2005 in Conroe. He was born on January 3, 1922 in Grapeland. From 1957 to 1982 he was a Warehouse Supervisor for Chicago Bridge and Iron and also served as an Auxiliary Police Officer with the Conroe Police Department for many years. He served with distinction during World War II, where he was a member of Troop D, 112th Calvary, United States Army. He served in the South Pacific where he saw action in New Guinea, Northern Solomons, the Philippines, and Luten. His decorations included the Combat Infantryman badge, the Philippine Liberation Medal with 2 bronze stars, the Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal with 4 bronze stars, Good Conduct Medal, Victory Ribbon, 4 Over-seas Service Bars, and the Purple Heart.
He was preceded in death by his wife Alta (Tince) Doris Shaver; parents, Jim and Wilma Shaver; brothers Ivan, Darrell, Harrell and Wayland Shaver; and grandson, Joshua Shaver.
Hi is survived by his children, Sherry Calvit and husband, Charles, James S. Shaver and wife Shirley, Johnny Shaver and wife, Marti; sister, Vivian Story; grandchildren, Church Calvit and wife, Brenda, Stacia Boudreux and husband, Brice, Jeff Calvit and wife, Kelly, Jody Shaver and wife, Jennifer, Leslie Ballman and husband, Chris, Amanda Binch and husband, Ray, Rebecca Lawrence and husband, Jimmy; great-grandchildren, Jeffery, Crystal, Brice, Chase, Caleb, Kailyn, Sarah, Kyle, Brandon, Samantha, Donovan, Sierra, Tyler Wade; special friend, Robert McClure; bowling team; dance club; and many other relatives and friends. The family would like to thank Lighthouse Hospice for all of their support.

Funeral services for Mr. W. A. "Aden" Reed of Crockett were held Tuesday, October 24, 2000, in the Callaway-Allee Memorial Chapel, Crockett, with Rev. Steve Meadows officiating. Interment followed in the Whitehead Cemetery.
Mr. Reed, age 88, passed away Sunday, October 22, 2000, in the East Texas Medical Center Crockett. He was born August 8, 1912, in Personville and had lived in Crockett since 1954. He owned and operated Reed's Dairy and was a member of Countryside Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Modine Reed; granddaughters, Theresa Kay Reed and Kimberly Ann Reed; brothers, Troy Reed, Ivis Reed, Lewis Reed and Coy Reed; sisters, Wilmeth Miller, Della Stevenson, and Mary Chumley; and great-granddaughter, Britney Reed.
Survivors include his children, James Reed and wife Marie of Crockett, Herbert Reed and wife Dana of Shady Grove, Janice Choate and husband Norman of Crockett, Syble Minter and husband Johnny of Pasadena, Glynn Reed and wife Nita of Crockett; fourteen grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; 4 step-great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; sister, Martha Parker of Jacksonville; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Charlie A. McCullar, age 88 of Houston, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 29, 1999, at his residence. Mr. McCullar was born Nov. 23, 1911, in Houston County and had resided in Houston since 1937. He was a member of the Lindale Masonic Lodge and retired from the City of Houston.
Survivors include wife Ada McCullar of Houston; son John McCullar of Houston, grandsons Joshua and Jeremy McCullar, both of Houston; sisters Addie Willingham of Conroe, Dorothy Jordan of Kemah, Lucille Bryant of The Woodlands, Betty Lewis of Houston, Nell Amey of Belott and Juanita Agular of Florida; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Funeral services for Mrs. Etta W. Howard, 74, of 107 Welch St., Palacios, were held Saturday, April 9, 1966, at 4 p.m. at the graveside in the Whitehead Cemetery, east of Grapeland. Burial was in the Whitehead Cemetery, Rev. J. T. Riley officiated.
Grandsons served as Pallbearers.
Mrs. Howard, the former Miss Etta W. Whitehead, was born In Houston County on July 19, 1891, and was a member of the Primitive Baptist Church. She had been a resident of Palacios for the past year, an lived in Point Comfort, Texas prior to that. Daughter of the late Aaron Whitehead and Elizabeth Barrow Whitehead, she died Friday, April 8, 1966, at 8 a.m. in the Palacios hospital following a long illness.
Survivors: husband, John H. Howard, of Palacios; a son, Odell Shaver of Grapeland; three daughters, Mrs. Ella Mae Cummings of Point Comfort, Mrs. Lillie Sims of Latexo, and Mrs. Ernie Lee Kruse of Palacious ; a step-daughter, Mrs. Myrtle Harrison of Houston; a sister, Mrs. Bessie Blackmon of Grapeland; 9 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild.


Ada Belle McCullar

Mrs. Ada Belle McCullar, age 91 of Houston, passed away Thursday, June 23, 2005 in the Spring Branch Medical Center in Houston. Mrs. McCullar was born October 19, 1913 in Grapeland and had lived most of her lifetime in Houston. Mrs. McCullar retired from Hormel Packing Company and was a lifelong member of the Shepherd Fold Primitive Baptist Church.
Survivors include her son John McCullar; grandsons Joshua McCullar and Jeremy McCullar; sister Helen Johnson; brother Thomas Stowe; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Preceded in death by her husband for over 60 years, Charlie McCullar; brother Raymond Stowe; and sister Elma Lea Dancer.
Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Ada Belle McCullar were held Saturday, June 25, at 4:00 p.m. in the Whitehead Cemetery with the Rev. Jerry Evers officiating.

Samantha Anne Graham, age 25 of Houston passed away Aug. 28, 2000 in Houston. Samantha was born May 28, 1974 in Houston and had lived in Houston all her lifetime.

Steve Frizzell, age 48 of Montgomery passed away Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2000, at the Northwest Medical Center in Houston. Mr. Frizzell was born March 4, 1951 in Houston to Harry Frizzell, St. of Kennard and Charlene Johnson Frizzell of Gilmer. He had been a resident of Montgomery for the past ten years. Mr Frizzell was employed as a plumber and was a member of the Homestead Baptist Church.
Survivors include wife Patricia Dancer Frizzell of Montgomery; children Charlene Theriault and husband Joey of Montgomery, Danny Mack Frizzell of Montgomery, and James West of Spring; grandchildren Shelby and Bailey; father-in-law J. D. Dancer and wife Doris of Crockett; brother Harry Frizzell, Jr. of California; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Graveside services for the infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Emmons of Rt. 2, Grapeland, were held Wednesday, January 24, 1973, at 4:00 p.m. at Whitehead Cemetery near Grapeland, with the Rev. E. D. Surratt officiating. Burial was in the Whitehead Cemetery under the direction of Hassell & Foster.
The infant was born Wednesday at 10:06 a.m. in the Crockett hospital and died a short time later.
Survivors: parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Emmons, Route 2, Grapeland; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. I. D. Emmons of Latexo and Mr. and Mrs. Clifton Whitehead of Route 2, Grapeland; great-grandmother, Mrs. Hut Whitehead, Grapeland; two brothers, William Craig Emmons and Brandon Scott Emmons, both of Grapeland.

Shawn Anderson, age 23 of Grapeland, passed away Monday, November 29, 2004 in Crockett. Mr. Anderson was born February 25, 1981 in Crockett and had lived in Houston County all of his lifetime. Mr.. Anderson was a graduate of Grapeland High School. Mr. Anderson was a member of the San Pedro Baptist Church and had worked for Radio Shack in sales.
