RE: Jennie McMurray at Phillipsburg in California, PA
Hi, Syd,

I noticed your photo request for Jennie Brown
McMurray. There are actually two markers representing Jennie's husband, William. One is a marker bearing his name, member of the 78th PA volunteers, death date, and age at death. The other marker is a standard Federal Civil War Veterans marker. The are a yard or less from one another. I can send photos of the two individually and one that shows their proximity to one another and reference to the entrance driveway. They were my great great grandparents and looking through deed records in Washington, PA, I suspicion the family was hard pressed to scrape together money to keep the family home, so likely Jennie never got a marker of her own and, if I had to take a guess, I suspicion she is buried below the Federal marker. If you have any interest, they left the "Mc" part off of her last name, but a funeral card has passed through my family and I would be glad to send you a scanned copy of that and tombstone photos if you can send me an email address where you can get them.

Antonio Caputo and Rafaella Greco Caputo
Miss Copeland,

I am looking for information on Anthonio (Anthony) Caputo, and Rafaella Greco Caputo. I am trying to find a connection with my Great Grandmother. She had a brother Anthony listed in her obituary from Freedom, PA, and I think this might be the same one, is there any way to get a copy of his obit.? also my 95 year old aunt seems to remember a Rafaella from Freedom when she visited there... could possible be the same... would also like a copy of her Obit if possible... I have Anthony's birth year listed as 1862 in Cosenza, Italy?? this Antonio was born in 1861, so my calculations may be off... thank you in advance, keeping my fingers crossed for a connection, and that one piece of information that will get me back one more generation....

Bill

Elizabeth Wooley Bird #79824610
Elizabeth was born in the Radford District of Nottingham, England, and may have been married prior to her marriage to Horatio Charles James Bird on 2 October 1836. They immigrated 11 April 1842 through the port of New Orleans and came up the Mississippi and Ohio Rivers to the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, area. They settled in New Brighton, Pennsylvania, in the 1860s, where Elizabeth died on 6 September 1877. Two children were born in Nottingham: Ann, who married Mannon McPherson, and Eliza. A son, Charles, was born in the U.S., served in the Civil War and died in Salisbury Prison, North Carolina, as a prisoner of war.

I would appreciate it if you would add the above to Elizabeth's memorial #79824610. Thanks so much for all you do on Findagrave.com!

Memorial #79824690, Horatio Bird
Hi, Horatio was my gr-gr-grandfather. His full name was Horatio Charles James Bird, born in Radford District, Nottingham, England. His parents may have been John and Mary Bird. His family for several generations had been lace-makers in Nottingham, altho he was noted as a bricklayer on the ship's passenger list. He and Elizabeth were married 2 October 1836 in Nottingham St. Mary's Church and immigrated to the U.S. on 11 April 1842. They came on the ship Berwick to New Orleans, intending to settle in Texas. On hearing of a typhoid epidemic in Texas, however, they changed plans and traveled up the Mississippi and Ohio Rivers to the Pittsburgh PA area and settled there. In 1860 he is listed as a bricklayer and 1870 a farmer. Horatio died in New Brighton on 29 January 1884.
Please add any or all of the above to his memorial. Thank you for all you do on Find A Grave -- terrific website!

Hi. I sent some edits to you via the edit button for Oliver H. Moore (Sylvania Hills Memorial Park) as to parents and dates/locations of birth and death from his PA Death Certificate. I've been researching the Houlette family. His mother was Deborah Houlette, daughter of my GGG Grandfather, Oliver Cunningham Houlette. Thanks.

I knew that woman for 32 years and never heard that name before. I knew of Gene King. Please Tell Beverley that Danny said hello. Thank you for the information. I think she married Gene in Anderson; I will look that up next time I'm in town. I know they divorced in Anderson in about 1965.

I am working on the Miller Family of Beaver County. You posted this Memorial and I am wondering if you have any knowledge to who his parents may have been I have a feeling this may be the son of Oliver.

Any help would be most wonderful.

I gave you the wrong info for William Barrett. Can you delete the parents I gave you. I also think I gave you his middle name as Ellsworth. That is wrong also. So sorry for the mixup. Thanks Donna

Lloyds in Grove Cemetery
Hi. I have sent you some edits for several of the Lloyd family buried in Grove Cemetery, New Brighton. My GGGG grandparents were John and Elizabeth Woods Lloyd. I am researching the family and trying to link the members. Most of the information comes from death certificates and obituaries that I have found. Thank you for creating memorials for many of the Lloyds.
