Thomas Weatherhead
Well, you've answered it (Thomas W's birthdate), I'll go with what his grave stone says. Also, I had no idea that they had a daughter, Sarah. He had a bunch of sons, had never seen anything on Sarah before this. Thank you.

Paula, was just looking at my tree again. Under Thomas Weatherhead, (husband of Ellen Fitzpatrick) the birth year (on findagrave) shows 1821. However, other records show he was born in 1835 or 1836 (depending on which one you look at). Did the grave marker for Thomas say otherwise?

Thank you, thank you, thank you
Thank you so much for all the info you have provided on this site, for our shared ancestors. I hadn't seen the info on James and Mary O'Brien Casey, before this morning. Wow. I really enjoy learning about these people. I wish I knew more about them, besided names and dates. Anyway, I can't thank you enough, for all the work you have done. Mike Weatherhead. Safford, AZ

RE: Weatherhead, Ann Fisher
One more thing...I also don't have my tree back before David Fitzgerald (1790-1878), or his wife Ellen Rice (1813-1878). (David Casey's grandparents).. I've hit a wall there. Also, when I was a young man, I lived in Scotland for two years. I was able to travel to the Berwickshire area. Little did I know then, that my paternal line came from there. Oh well...The rest are Irish, but I also found some French-Canadians (grandma Ann Gertude Fisher's grandmother was french--Leveque, Levesque, L'Erique, depending on which record you look at). Maybe your husband has some info on them? Thank you.

RE: Weatherhead, Ann Fisher
Thanks for your speedy reply. Small world....Actually, my grandpa's real name was Alford, not Alfred. I actually knew him when I was a little boy. He moved from Ontario, to Michigan, to Arizona, where he eventually passed away. That was how we came to live in AZ. And yes, Brian Weatherhead is my uncle. I've contacted him before, but he has never answered me back. I actually have my family tree, done some ways back, on There are some holes, though. For instance, I don't have any info on James Casey's (1807-1898) parents, or his wife Mary O'Brien's (1807-1886) parents, or before (for both). If you had any info on this, I would greatly appreciate it. If there is any info I have, I would be happy to share with you too. I wish I had listened closer, when my great Aunt Gerry (Mary Geraldine Weatherhead, my grandpa Alford's sister) would tell us about our family. But I do know that her mom went by "Silly" Casey, I remember that. I later found out her (and my grandpa Alford's mom) was Helen Geraldine Casey Weatherhead. Anyway, I love this stuff...It's an addiction.

Ann Gertrude Fisher Weatherhead
Ann Gertrude is my grandmother. I didn't know her, as she died when my father was a little boy. I have a record which shows her death on 20 May, 1941, But her Findagrave page shows 1943. Do you have any further info? Also, I'm sure I'm related to your husband, I have Casey, Fisher, Heffernan, Fitzgerald also in my lineage. Thank you.

My sister has put together a website which has scores of Polish names. It is a result of more that 10 years of research indexing names. She is currently looking into the town of origin of the Narkiewicz family. Please visit her website at:

HI. Thank you for the message regarding the duplicate grave for Anthony J. Narkiewicz. I am the niece by marriage (my Aunt was Irene Wisneski Narkey)and therefore put in his original name. How are you related to the Narkiewicz (Narkey) family?

RE: St. Marys

Thanks for the work you have done creating the memorials at St. Mary's Cemetery.

I'm rolling through some distant Elgie cousins and their spouses families so there will be more over the next days.

I'm adding memorials as I find the information in the Death Registrations, Holy Name R.C. Church Burial Registers and on other sites.

Czulinski Manian
RE: Czulinski, Bernard and Patronella
Who is your grandfather, Great Uncle Bill or Great Uncle Chester? I did not really know either except at weddings or funerals when I was a small child.
You're correct. I am granddaughter to Mary Sobieski Czulinski and Bernard & Patronella are my parents.
My father had two sisters, Janina who died as toddler and Clara who was married with a child when she died. I think Clara lived in Waukegan, Illinois when she died. Her daughter's name is Bonnie. I never met either of them but was a pen pal with Bonnie in my early teens. I cannot remember her last name. It was searching for more info about Clara and Bonnie that led me to this "Find a Grave" site. I recall a story of my father traveling to IL to bring Clara back to MI for burial.
This site gave me a lot of info about Grandma Mary's parents that I did not know. And I saw a reference to my Aunt Clara predeceasing her grandfather (d.1953) Konstanty Sobieski.
Thanks for contacting me. I am Elizabeth Ann Czulinski Manian and called Libby.

RE: Maryanna Dabrowski Narkiewicz
Thank you very much for your information. It is much appreciated. Do you have any photographs of Maryanne and Anthony by any chance? Do you also know how they managed to get to the USA and why they left Poland.

Kind regards,

It must be the same family strand as my grandma was looked after by some family in Bialystok during the world War II.I also remember the surname Dabrowski and I also have the photograph of Maryanne in my family photo collection. Do you have any photos of Anthony and Maryanne at all if so do you mind sending them, please. Do you have any other details about Maryanne like her date of birth and her maiden name-I could look more into that on some Polish geneology websites.

Kind regards,

RE: Maryanne Narkiewicz
The picture I have in my family photo album bares a striking resemblance to Maryanne the wife of Anthony Narkiewicz, who I presume was the brother of your great grandfather. I have sent the picture to Jozefa and she said it looks like the same person to her. I can send both pictures to you so that you can have a look and say what you think. If not do you have any contact details to anybody from Anthony Narkiewicz's family, please.

Kind regards,

Maryanne Narkiewicz
This is a message to Paula Kargol Hapanowicz:

I have desperately been trying to put some missing family history pieces together and while searching through my heritage website I came across the picture of Maryanne Narkiewicz. I must say that her facial features are so striking that I am convinced that she was related to my mum's side of the family. I do have a picture of a woman who resembles Maryanne and they share the same name. My great grandma was called Maria Narkiewicz and all I know that she was born in Vilnus in 1882 and her parents were called Aleksander and Maria(her maiden name was Kaminska) Narkiewicz. I know she had other siblings and aunties and uncles but I was too small to remember all the details and now she is no longer with us so I have nobody to ask.

I contacted Jozefa Szumlak and she recommended speaking to you. I would really appreciate if you found some time to check that information and be so kind and let me know if I was right. I am happy to send you the picture of the woman who I think is Maryanne.

Kind regards,

Aleksandra Young

I am a Roman decedent. After looking at your family tree under Roman I noticed you are missing quite a bit. You are even missing my Aunt, who is still alive at the age of 86. She is the last of the children of Michael and Elizabeth (Roman) Hanczyk. I am the daughter of Raymond and Margaret E. (Hanczyk) Smith. I have one brother still alive. I probably could help you fill in a lot of blanks when it comes to the Marcinak and Roman side. I would love to here from you.
