Matt Parrott grave

The photo that I have of Matt's headstone in Walnut Grove Cemetery, was taken by his great granddaughter Debbie Parrott. I also have a copy of his death cert, however it is very sparsely filled out. Burial place is just listed as "German". Also, noted that he is listed as Single, but I show he was married to his second wife at that time, unless they separated. In the photo I have, he is buried next to his first wife Anna May Prince, which is my connection to him, she died in 1911.
I haven't been in contact with Debbie Parrott for years now. At that time she seemed to be just getting started with researching her family.

Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner... I haven't been working on my research for a couple of months.... Too busy ... hopefully I will be getting back to it soon.

I would like to pick up your photo request but Sparkman Hillcrest (SH) does not like to provide burial locations to volunteers, citing privacy issues. Your cooperation is needed in order for requests to be filled. The volunteers will need you to call SH and request the location. Their phone number is 214-363-5401. Once you have the location, please add it to your request. Thanks.

RE: Abraham & Susan Jane Thomas
It looks great. Nice way of connecting both graves. Do you know how they know that Abraham is the son of Adam? There are many Thomas' and it would help my researching.

You are so welcome Bob. Too bad no headstone was placed. Thank you so much for the compliment. Yes Oakland is complicated but I have a good map and once I figured it out, it has been pretty simple. There is just a lot of vegetation in the sections that need to be cleaned out so it is hard sometimes to get to the area. But they are working on clearing out the sections so we shall see. Happy Holidays!!!

RE: Maria Louisa James Enright

Good grief - you sent me this note about Maria Enright 2 years ago and I'm just now seeing it! I'm so sorry!

I'm not related to Minnie, I'm just a theater history buff who stumbled - almost literally - across her grave. I was inspired to start researching her story and as such projects always do, it has taken on a life of its own.

If you'd like me to manage her site, I wouldn't mind at all. Again, my apologies for the extraordinary delay!

I always delete photos after I input them. Make another request and I will respond. However, I will not be able to complete the request until late January.

Also meant to thank you for the work you do adding information to Find a Grave and volunteering at a FHC. I have done that also (as a Mormon volunteer) and it is a great service you do.

Lena Kreit
In trying to sort out my timmons family I found your entry for Lena Timmons Kreit. I believe she was the dau of George and Mary Timmons as you noted. I am trying to figure out why the headstone says "our sister". Unless there are other names on the headstone where we only see the blank back. Here is some information re: Mary E Bradburn in the picture with Lena Kreit's homestone.
2001: According to Emily Lawrence; G W Timmons md Mary Richey. 5 children. Then divorced. Mary moved to Texas.
2001: According to Joyce Timmons Jones: George Wilson Timmons b 1852, Ohio Co, WVa md Mary Ritchey. She applied for remarriage in St Louise MO in 1906.
2001: Jo T Keller
"...What got me started is a photo I found in my father's papers which has written on it the following: "George Wilson Timmons, borne March 8th, 1852, Ohio Co., Va. This taken in 1926 in NJ."

Photo's for the Miller's
Robert, photo's you've attached to Memorials that Susann manages, for Annie Miller #79919837 and her husband, Egbert Miller #79918802 are incorrect. I located the Millers in Section E lot 31 and have posted the headstone photo's. I have sent Susann an edit on plot information. Thx, John

I have deleted the memorial in question. Haven't got a clue as to why I created it. Thanks for bringing the error to my attention. JR

RE: Obit of Penelope Elizabeth Bailey Lingan
You are most welcome. It is nice to be able to find an "historical obituary" for someone who was so talented and was well recognized in Texas. She was extremely talented, and she should be recognized. Note that this particular obituary was copied from the "Associated Press."

Your welcome. Many of those older bronze markers are difficult to read, so the closeup of the name does help.

Thanks so much, Bob, but her memorial still has the birth year as 1849. I sent an edit to change it, so please check your edit tab.

Thanks again,

Thank you for posting the photo of my grandfather's headstone. The last (first and only) time I paid my respects, I was in junior high. That was a long time ago. I hope to visit Houston in the next few weeks and want to pay my respects to him. Can you tell me what section his grave site is located? Thank you for all you do!

Hi Bob,
Yes, Avis Baggett (Henry's wife) is next to him at Pleasant Grove near Elgin. Thank you for the correction and for all your efforts! Jane Baggett Switzer

Hey Bob, there is a photo request for this lady but I have not been able to find her marker. However, in researching on Ancestry I did find a lot of family history that I would like to add as bio. Could you transfer management to me. I am still looking for her husband's grave. In 1880 she is living with her brother after his wife died. I found a two line obit but it just gave cause of death and burial in Mulberry. Appreciate your help. Hope your summer has been cooler than ours.
