RE: Chester and Ester Oaks
I see now. Apparently you moved them from the cemetery that they were originally put in. I always mark the ones that I come across that different articles record 2 different burial places, esp. when the graves have been relocated. It helps with the confusion. But now that place is lost. So, I removed the entries. I also informed the other contributor that their contributions were now duplicates. I guess that concludes our business. Have a fun day.

RE: Chester and Ester Oaks
Can't find them and don't recognize the names. As far as "that ugly question mark on the flower memorial", can't answer since I can't find it.

Columbus Hooks
You have listed Dorcas Callen Hooks as being married to Owen Columbus Hooks, this is a mistake, Owen Columbus {Lum} Hooks was their grandson, named for both of his grandfathers, Owen G.Wright and Capt. Columbus C. Hooks. As often happens mistakes are out there and get repeated. Dorcas married Capt. Columbus C. Hooks. Dorcas is buried at Fellowship Baptist in Dallas Co, Ala.

RE: Headstone photo Reuben Jackson
Sure that is not a problem. How are you related to Reuben Jackson? My husband is actually related to him. This is the lineage from my husband to Reuben:
Mel Parker son of Norene Eile Henderson, Norene Eile Henderson daughter of Lizzie Burt and James Henderson. Lizzie Burt daughter of Martha Elizabeth Jackson and William Young Burt. Martha Elizabeth Jackson, daughter of Reuben Jackson and Nancy Elizabeth Clark

James & Sarah Jones ~ Lake Creek
I went to Oaklawn Cemetery this week. While I was there, I located and made a photo of the grave marker for James and Sarah Jones. I have posted it to your memorials in Lake Creek Cemetery ... rather than the memorials for them in Oaklawn (I think yours are actually the older memorials; and you are apparently 'family')

Anyway ... you may want to straighten it out with the Find A Grave administrators.

RE: Hooks & Speed Photos ~ Lake Creek
Permission granted ... of course.

Glad to be of assistance to you in your project.

I do have some bad news ... in case you hadn't guessed it already. I didn't find markers for the 'Oaks', which is peculiar since the graves are so recent. If there is a marker, I probably just walked past it without recognizing the names as being on the list ... =-(

Hooks & Speed Photos ~ Lake Creek

I took about 100 shots in three cemeteries this week; and they all have to be cropped and sized before they can be posted to memorials. The 'Speed' photos are complete. I didn't take a wide 'family plot' shot for that one. So far ... I have only posted a wide shot for Hooks; and I have close-up of the markers to process yet.

The big stone is Mary & Julius ... the small one is Olive Hooks Wood. In the next burial plot in that row are Fairest Alexander ... Oma Lucy ... and Earl Hooks

Please bear with me. It'll take a few days ... especially with weekend football to compete for my free time ... =-)

Thanks for the info. I would love to read his book someday. I think there is a copy here in Houston in the public library archives. I am going to look into it.
