Presley Lester Roberts
Hello, I've enjoyed finding information (and pictures) of my grandparents family (Owen Easter Roberts). But their son Presley Lester Roberts died at a different time than listed, according to the Social Security Death Index. He had been living alone in Eloy, AZ. I lost track of him, so he may have moved to Missouri. But SS says he died February 7, 2007. It was his 2nd wife Ima who died in 1998.

I found Lin's name in a 1951 phone book. It lists him and a person named Dorothy. It also lists him as a salesman for Okla Tire and Supply as a salesman. As for Ona, I have come in contact with her daughter and son here in the Tulsa Okla area and have a couple of pics of Lin with some other family members.

Wilson/Salt Creek Cemetery
I am trying to find some more information on this cemetery, and wondering if it might be the same as the one first described below.

In 1939, in an interview for the WPA project, Alice (Marshall) Grayson is quoted about several cemeteries, including one that was located between 'the old Wilson school and the Salt Creek', that was created out of her daughter's allotment: "When Lee Pound's baby died, my husband gave some of our daughter's (Vinnie Rae Grayson) allotment for a graveyard. It was for a community graveyard for both white and Indian. It's a half mile south of the Wilson School and about a quarter south of the Salt Creek."

She also mentioned a couple of other cemeteries in that area in the same interview and passage:

"On the Peter Ewing allotment, three miles west of Eufaula, there are a few graves including my father's. This is a very old cemetery. It is so old that persimmon trees twelve inches through are growing out of some of the graves. Al Ground lived there before allotment and as his wife was a Choctaw, he had to go back to that country when she was allotted. I don't know who owns it now but it is one mile northwest of the Wilson School...

The Moss Harjo Cemetery is over thirty-eight years old. It is a half mile southwest of the Wilson School. Some of the Radells were the last to be buried there."

Any information or suggestions you might have will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

Lin was listed in the tulsa phone book in 1951 with a person named Dorothy. Her full name was Dorothy Nadine beeman. She was fron Colorado and I read some where he and she had 3 boys together. Anyways, thanks for your help. I have met his step daughter's son here in Tulsa. And they don't know much about him if had other children or not. All they know is he married their Ona Lee. Also, the phone book listed Lin as working for Oklahoma Tire and Supply.

I have a birth date on him. It is 03 Jul 1944. He is the husband of my second cousin. I have been doing research on "Perry's" for about 20 years now and his wife is a decedent of the Perry's. Thanks for your help in this birthday. If you have any info on the family it would also be appreciated.

George Samuel Roberts would be my great great grandfather. If you don't mind me asking... What was your fathers name? I'm trying to piece together timeline's on ancestry.com. I'm specifically interested on George's family through my grandfather's time. For some reason my family hasnt been very forthcoming with history so I am learning as much as I can on my own. Thanks!

salt creek cemetery
Hi Sharon,

I noticed you were one of the contributors for a photo of the Salt Creek Cemetery in Schulter, OK. I've been told that my great-grandmother, Mary Jane Heath was buried at this cemetery in 1910. I've found her brother-in-law, John Calhoun Heath, at this cemetery so I suspect that she is buried there as well. However, no gravestone has been found for her. Would you happen to know who has the records for this cemetery so I can confirm that she is indeed buried there? I would appreciate any information you could give me.

Thank you!
Carolyn Heath Sisk

Sharon I can answer your question that you left on Carrie Boersema page Christene Deckard Bailey is my first cousin Carrie wrote me also, Yes her mother was married but I think Carrie is all confused and possible not been told the whole truth over the years about her life, for she was adopted by Christene's sister, when little. She left a flower also and I can see by her comments that she is looking for information and is confused. I could help her more if she would be kind when she writes me. Christene died in 1993 when Carrie was only 8 years old. You did leave a flower but I do not think you are kin. I think it is sad that family doesn't be honest with children therefore they are confused when they get grown always wanting to know more. Carrie did write me but hasn't wrote me any more when I asked her to get to know me before she was ugly to me Maybe one day she will get a hold of me and realize that I will not lie to her about her life and post false documentation. My memorials are made with much love and made so that my loved ones will never be forgotten. Memorial# 60024848

RE: Bird genealogy cousin?
Sharon,
Thanks so much for your reply!
I am so happy that I found you again!
Please feel free to e-mail me any time, when you have the time!
I recently took a trip to iron county, Mo.
Jacob A, and Rhoda A Bird are buried in that area. I was just wondering if you or anyone else knows why both of their death certificates, and the information on the grave marker do not match? (The birth and death dates are very different)
So glad to have found you again cousin!
Thanks again!

Hello Sharon,
So nice to "meet" you, we are distant cousins, as Mark and Delina are my great great grandparents. This is also on my mother's line. Thank you so very much for allowing me to manage their memorial, it is an honor, believe me. Again, thank you! Barbara

Bird genealogy cousin?
Hi Sharon!
I used to e-mail a Sharon in Ok. several years ago, but somehow lost contact over the years. I would like to know if you are that same cousin!

I am related to the Bird's, Grahams, Owens, Ellis, Smith, Howard, Matney, etc. I grew up around Dora, Mo.

Remember, we exchanged some tombstone pics, including Uriah Russell, (buried in Ok.) whose wife Lucinda Crow was buried in Ball cemetery, Dora.

My 3rd Great Grandparents were Jacob and Rhoda Bird. I did not have a pic or have never seen a pic of Jacob until I found it here! Thanks so much for posting it!

If you are the person I communicated with, could you please let me know at redrobot06@gmail.com ? I would appreciate it very much!

Thanks so much for all your contributions to genealogy it is greatly appreciated!
