Hello Diane!

Just wondering if you are a volunteer gathering the info or if we are related? LOL :)

I am new to this site and I see you posted the info on who I believe is my maternal Great Great Grandfather and his daughter.

I don't see anything listed yet for my maternal Grandfather - George Raymond Stansberry (Spring Hill Cemetery). And I have old family photos of his mom and dad... William Henry Harrison Stansberry (called Bill) and who I believe is# 39612984 on this site and Mary Alice (Smith) Stansberry (called Molly) - who I can't find anywhere yet - she died several months after my grandfather was born. But Mary Stansberry Jones - #36913100 on this site I know for sure is my Grandfathers older sister.

The only difference I see for the William Henry Stansberry on your site is the DOB and I have an extra name in the middle... My picture has his full name as: William Henry Harrison Stansberry, DOB 5/12/1855. But the head stone on this site shows the year as 1859. We don't have a lot of info on this side since my Grandfather (George) was sent to live with his uncle (his mothers brother Matt Smith) when his mom passed away...

Any other free places for me to check into this? I do have his death cert#... I guess his correct DOB would be listed on there for me to confirm and see if this is really my Great Grandfather.... Just trying to sort it all out. :)

Anyway... any suggestions would be great!

Thanks!

jo

Find A Grave Memorial# 60174692
Concerning the death of Mary McDaniel Weddle, examination of the photo shows the original stones next to the modern replacement. The older stone shows death in June of 1852 rather than July which is on the new stone. A leaf covers the date area on the old stone so if a number is present, it can't be seen.

Annie
Eggleston Freels was married twice, first to Sarah M Pemberton in 1862, who died around 1865 and had one daughter, Nannie L Freels.

Eggleston married second to Dorothy Annie Smith in 1866.

Proof:

Annie is living with her brother James M Smith in the 1920 census.

The 1900 and 1910 census shows Eggleston's present marriage as having taken place in 1866, not 1862 when he married Sarah M. Pemberton.

James Thomas Freels death record names his mother as Annie Smith.

Mrs Annie "Frields" death record of 17 April 1924 shows her parents as William Smith and Pamelia Smith.

Find A Grave memorial #60357177 trying to solve a mystery here, your memorial has her married to John Thomas Nichols in 1872 and that is the name on the marriage record I have located as well, however, I am wondering if she was married to Henry C. Nichols who is in the same cemetery? I see you do quite a bit of research on your memorials and have many that are in the Carver/Escue heritage line I am tracing, was wondering if you came across the same info I had, maybe two heads are better than one? she in johns household 1880 with kids, but by 1900 in henry c. household with children minus henry c. (jr.)no luck with finding birth records for the children so far, one of her and johns children is named henry c. she lives with that child 1910, henry c. senior died 1904, no other record of john t. after 1880 however, do find henry c. in state pen, 1870. 1900 census reports marriage of louisa and henry about 1873 so, maybe john t. is an alias or he died and she married a brother? any info you could add or a direction to point in where I could look would be helpful. I thought at first it might be that john t. was the bondsman but eliminated that with 1880 census. so confusing, and any family members who might know i am not aware of. thanks.

There are at least two Driver families that a "paralee" about the same time in Tennessee (maybe more, lol). I have seen 1897 but can not confirm it nor can I find a grave site. Any info would be appreciated!

Iva Neel
Hi. Part of my research for Eastern Cemetery is the lot cards, and I have a copy of the lot card that shows Iva Neel, spouse of Dudley Neel, as being in Eastern Cemetery. According to the lot card, her cremated remains were buried in the same grave with her husband, Dudley on 3 January 1948.
You can contact me at my email, and I'd be happy to send you a copy of the card.
Thanks.

Joshua G. Neal
Hi Diane,
Are you related to Joshua Neal? I would love to hear how if you are. He was my 2x great grandfather. My great grandfather was Ollie Neal. There is some tales about ole Ollie. But for informational purposes, Ollie's mother was Maria Emily Johnson. It seems that Rachel passed away and he married Maria. She immediately became pregnant and then died in child birth. Then he married Sarah Ann Taylor and they had John Riley. So Joshua had 7 kids with 3 wives and he outlived them all. Actually it doesn't look like Ollie ever lived with him. On the census records he was living with the Johnson's, Maria's parents. His father was on the same road. Had to be hard to not live with your dad and not have your mom. Maybe that is what messed him all up.

Have a great day.
Dana

Infant Daughter Ragland
Thanks for visiting my memorials > you're a blessing to me and to Findagrave. I was curious if "Infant Daughter Ragland" was two or three years old or did she died on the day she was born?

RE: Kizzee/Kissee
Diane,

Great to hear that you are also related to the Kissee/Kizzee line. My Grandmother on my Mother's side was a Kizzee, and Charlotte Temple is my 2nd Great Aunt. I have worked on them much in years past, but have drifted away from Ancestry.com in recent times, spending more time on Find A Grave stuff such as taking photos and trying to link as much of my family as possible. My family tree is public on Ancestry. Many of my line came from Pulaski and Casey county Kentucky, and settled in Johnson County. Last year, I went into Greenwood Cemetery where many of them are and photographed all of their graves, and also tried to get obituaries for all that I could find. I have always been fascinated by the Kissee/Kizzee spelling, even in the same family different kids spelled it different! How much do you know about them?

Mark
