Hi Cynthia:

I want to thank you for the wonderful job you have done with linking Malura and her children's cemetery information. It is great. I just wanted to let you know that I am her great great niece and her maiden last name was JAMESON not Jemmison. I would appreciate it if you could please correct it.

Thank you sooooo very much.

Keep up the excellent work and God bless!!!

C W Miller
Miller cemetery
Cynthia;
My name is Charles Miller and I am a great-great grandsom of Thomas & Elizabeth. I have been working on the Miller tree and wanted to thank you for the information you provided on the Find a Grave Site. It has been a few years since I visited the old Miller Cemetery and since I checked this site. The dates for Thomas and Elizabeth as well as her maiden name were especially useful. I know he was born in New York and she was born in Virginia. Do you know when and where they were married?

Thanks again for your work!!
Since your name is also Miller are we related?

LF
Hookstown Cemetery
Since Mathias Hook is buried at Hookstown Cemetery, his wife is probably there too. However, his marker is relatively new (a brass military marker denoting his service in the Revolutionary War). His originally stone was probably damaged or unreadible. And I suspect his wife's stone was also. Unfortunately the cemetery committee for Greene Township/Hookstown area does not have any records prior to 15 year ago.

Richard K Thompson
Evergreen Cemetery Fairfield Iowa
Cindy - I went to Evergreen Cemetery here in Fairfield Iowa this afternoon and found all of your photo requests for you. I also used the cemetery transcription records to find more exact birth and death dates and have placed that information in captions for the headstone photos. Click on them to view that information. I also found a David Nathan Sens and made and entry/photo for him as well. The surname for Harvey and Katherine is Erickson on their headstone. Your entry is Ericson. You might want to change that. Hope that this helps you out. Glenn McWhirter's headstone is tipped over and partly buried in the ground. I lifted it out to photograph it, then set it back in the ground. Let me know if you wish information to have the stone reset by a local monument company. The name and date informaton for Glenn is otherwise totally buried in the ground. All the best, Richard.

They say about 1886 for the land donation. That would be a neat thing if you were related.

Harbey Headstones
I really want to thank you very much for taking the photos of John and Emelia's headstones. They are my great grandparents. Emelia's death certificate lists her name as Jennie Harbey. My mother told me her name was Virginia Amelia, but now I think I know why she is listed as E.V. Harbey on my grandmother's birth certicate!!
THANK YOU

You're welcome. It was a beautiful day here in Connecticut, sunny and warm - a nice day to take a walk outdoors. My daughter went with me and she actually found the stone in a far back corner of the cemetery. I was lucky today and found 6 other stones to answer requests.
Best regards,
Dot

Dave & Lee Burns
Rimer Family Tree
Cynthia,

Yes, I am a twig on the Rimer Family Tree. Talmage, Richard and Guy are my 2nd cousins twice removed. Their grandfather, Thomas Rimer (immigrant ancestor) and my 3x granfather were brothers (half-brothers to be exact). Are you part of this clan?

Jaime Crandell-Stapleton
Stanton
Hi Cynthia,
Whatever is there is what I took. If the fourth side is not there or back then that means it was blank. Which if I remember correctly it was. However I do not live anywhere near this area anymore so I cannot double check on that. But I always take everyside of a tombstone and add the information.
