Slabtown
Kim,

I want to ask you about this cemetery that you have listed. I was out there a couple weeks ago and found two cemeteries next to each other on a hill. The first was larger and appeared to be a catholic cemetery, due to the amount of crucfixes (Our Lady of Mercy?). The second was very small, with a grass-covered entrance, and neither cemetery had a sign. These were both located on Cemetery Hill Road, or something like that. Is the smaller one the Roaring Creek cemetery - you have one listing for this, Griffith John Jr.? Someone else has a cemetery in Slabtown listed as Methodist cemetery and the pictures look like the one I'm referring to. I'm wondering if these are the same cemetery? If so, I will add my ancestors to the listing on FindAGrave.

Thanks for your help,
Amanda

RE: Thank you
Hi Kim,
It's my pleasure. I am not a Knauer relative. I live near Northwood Cemetery, and one day I just decided I would photograph ever marker there. It took me a couple years, and I am slowly uploading the photos to Find-A-Grave. I'm glad I was able to help.

Thanks
Kim,
Thanks for taking the photos of my Aunt Kathleen's grave. I live on the other side of the country and don't make it to the Cape as often as I'd like. The photos and your effort mean a lot.

Thanks for the photograph of mercy's stone! I appreciate it. And thank you for looking for Silas.... he is there somewhere according to some old sources I have, but his stone might no longer exist. Kevin

RE: Knauer babies
Kim, I am currently on vacation and cannot check out the photos I have on cemeteries I have transcribed. I will not be back home until August 22 and will check then. If you have not heard from me on that day or the day after, please send me an e-mail to remind me. Thank you.

RE: where on CApe?
I'm quick!! you are quicker. I am in Chatham but cover from P-town to Barnstable- depending on the season. No competition here- I don't care about getting credit for a request- I post extra pictures if not duplicates.
Take care and see ya around!

Off hand I do not know why the flag holder is next to his stone. It is possible that it was meant for the elder Abraham. I have also seen where these holdes are misplaced either by accident and perhaps on purpose by some. It could be that the holder was closer to Abe and Ida's marker. Mike
