I don't know for sure that Bird was has her maiden name, but since she was buried with her husband and their marker had Christie on it, I assumed that Bird was a maiden name. Sometimes with genealogy, we do have to make some assumptions and then try to prove it. If I discover anything more definitive, I will let you know.
God bless you!

Yes, you may use the photos. Thank you for asking. :)
I don't have a Norma Jean Smith in my direct line of grandparents, that I can think of off the top of my head. My Smith grandfather and great grandfather are still living but My 2nd great grandfather was Draper Smith (1901-1992)he married Gladys Amick - his father was Sylvester Smith (1869-1947)married Olive Mae Valentine his father being Joseph Blair Smith (1831-1908)married Mary Ann Hoover his father was John M Smith (1809-1869)who married Maria Blackburn. I hope this helps some.

Not directly but through a few marriages in my family tree. My connection to the Berkey Cemetery is mainly through the Shaffer Family. My Great Great Grandfather (David "Sugar Dave" Shaffer)and family are buried there.

I contacted Find A Grave about that and they said they would check to see if she had a designated person to take over. I offered to do it but I haven't heard back from them yet. She controls a good deal of my family that I want to make changes on as well. I'll contact her daughter to see if she knows what's happening.

|Jean Avery Feaster||Silas & Julia Kerr Sparks|
Silas and Julia were adoptive parents to my husband's great grandfather, Edgar Rudolph Feaster a/k/a Edward Feaster. Since they already had a son named Edward when they took in Edgar/Edward, they changed his name. Their Edward died when drug by a horse when he was about 16 years old. Their daughter, Mary, never married and died without having children. The other Kerr on the tombstone (John) was Julia's brother who traveled with them from Pennsylvania to Kansas. This is just what I remember off the top of my head . . .
