RE: Mayfield information
Hi Mary
Thanks for replying feel free to add the info from the Pueblo Chieftain I work as a volunteer at the Pueblo Library which holds the Chieftain Archives and I work at the library with input to the obituary collection so there is no problem with copy write which is why Find A Grave say don't enter obits unless you have permission

RE: Hubbard family
Hi Mary,

I will transfer Elizabeth's memorial over to you, as I am not related. If there are any other memorials in Claggett, that you would like, let me know.

No, you are welcome to add any photo you like, to any memorial, whether you maintain it or not.

RE: John F. Shafer
Hi Mary,

I have a copy of his death certificate as well as a written oral history. The death certificate shows date, place of death, and cemetery information.

He was my GGG Grandmother's 2nd husband.

RE: headstone photos
I'm sorry, Sweetness, but I don't know, especially if you made the entries. The only thing I can tell you is that there is a maximum of 5 photos unless the entry is sponsored. But if there are no photos yet, I'd contact the administrators.

RE: Headstone photo
I know they have Cemetery tours in Oct, so I will definitely go back and do a tour if that's the only way to get in. I'll make sure and take pictures of any stones with the same name. It's a Pioneer Cemetery and I guess they are trying to protect it, but it is disappointing that it's not easily accessible. I won't be able to go back for two weeks tho. I'll let you know how it goes.

Hi Mary,

I added the info you sent for both memorials. I also added the obits I have for them. Her daughter is also buried here so I connected her.

Thank you,

RE: Willis B. Hiatt
I found your Hiatt's, I think, in the 1850, 1860 & 1870 census. From those, this is the family I was able to put together.

Caleb b. 1813 IN
Rebecca b. 1812 or 13 in PA (one census showed VA)
Willis 1837-38 IN
Eliza J 1838 IN
James 1839 IN
David 1842 IN
Mary E 1845 IN
Susan or Alonzo 1847 IN (your guess is as good as mine)
Matha - Mattie 1850 IN
Oliver 1852 IN
Charles 1863 Iowa (this one seems to have been born a lot later, if this is their son)

I had nothing better to do this evening. LOL

RE: Willis B. Hiatt
Hi Mary,

It looks like I have already made the transfer.
He appears to already be linked to his parents, Caleb & Rebecca (Brown) Hiatt. They also had a daughter, Eliza Jane Hiatt Miller. Does any of that information sound familiar?

Anyway, Willis is all yours, just the same.

RE: Willis B. Hiatt
Hi Mary,

Ask away........ : ) But, no, I am not related to Willis Hiatt. A Find A Grave friend, Shirley Jones,
actually entered the memorial, but due to medical issues, she felt she was unable to manage the memorials for this cemetery and started transferring them to me. Are you related to Willis? If you would like control of this memorial, I will attempt a second transfer, but I've never tried it and I'm not sure it would allow me to. If I can't I would be happy to add any information you might have on Willis and his family.

Let me know.
