Rev Joseph Price Howe
husband of 2nd cousin 5x removed
Birth 16 Feb 1766
Death 11 Jul 1827 in Springfield Cemetery Sharpsburg Bath County Kentucky, Memorial# 25961251
I was curious also why his name is Joseph Price Howe. I was thinking his Mother was a Price..But I see it was Dunlap. Perhaps it was for a Grandmother.

|Anna S||Whaleys in Knoxville, TN|
James and Malinda Whaley are buried next to Hubert (1916-1984) and Bethel (1919-2004) Whaley, with Hobart (1903-1972) and Martha (1903-1992) Whaley nearby. I've added the records of these other Whaleys and wanted to let you know in case you're interested.
The Garden in which they are buried is missing its name sign. If the sign is replaced, I'll attach the specific name to the records.

You mentioned the Howe family. Would you happen to be related to Dr. Wm. D. Howe (1866-1915)? He was my grandfather's sister's husband.

|J. KEVIN CONRAD||Harriet Ownby|
I have been doing some work in Mount Olivet cem in McKenzie TN along with another graver. I saw your request for Herman Ownby with a side note anout his wife Harriet. She is also at Mt Olivet and is now added to the cemetery. Mt Olivet is about 30 miles from my home and I try to get there when time allows. It is one of the largest I have worked to date. If you want to add a photo request for Harriet I will try to get them in the next couple of weeks. Kevin

|Janet Dabney Kiggans||Photo request for Eastern State Cemetery|
I saw your photo request. There are very few graves in the old State Cemetery that have actual headstones and those have been photographed. The original markers were 4 X 4 stones with a number on them. The only ones still visible are located at the top where the land is flat, the entire hillside is covered with graves but at some point dirt was brought in to fill in and anyone visiting the cemetery would not know that there are graves there. It is very difficult to get information on grave locations also. I spent almost a year and a half before getting the locations of my great great grandmother's grave.

Tish it would be deeply appreciated if you could connect Lottie with her parents on Find A Grave. Her mother Agnes Belle Stainbrook - 14190565 and her father George Frederick - 14191651 interred at Ellsworth Cemetery, Lee County, Illinois. Also, her original name is: Charlotte Wood Stainbrook, known later as Lottie. Note the variation of the surname which was very common among the Stainbrooks even within a given family. If this memorial were transferred to me I could also add an extensive bio. Many thanks, Audrey

Kathryn Hopkins opened a memorial for Thomas Monroe Harris in Harris Cemetery, Libertyville, St. Francois Co., Mo. I have no clue where the cemetery is nor if he is actually buried there. I dropped her a note asking where the cemetery is located and she has not replied yet. His memorial number is 103664975'

Jesse and Salina Walker are Jesse Allen's parents. I found them in Macon in the 1850 census. Then they were in Adair County in 1870. They lived near La Plata on a farm.
I have not found a will for Jesse "Grandsir", only one for John G. Walker.
I have actually researched the Owenby line in Adair county a bit, because Lucinda is John G's sister. She is listed in her father's 1860 will from Macon county.
my email is email@example.com I will be glad to send you my family group sheets and my pedigree chart.
I believe that someone from your line submitted info for membership to DAR years ago. I found the submission on the DAR database. The person used the Adair county History as a source.
It was submitted before WW2. I can order a copy of the application and data if you would like to see it.
I qualified on my mother's maternal grandfather's line (Hall).
The Walkers are my mother's father's line. I have visited Jesse Grandsir Walker's grave at New Hope Cemetery in Howard county several times. I have been trying to link the Walkers for over 30 years! My cousin Imo Walker died at 102 years of age in December 2010. She was a first cousin to my maternal grandfather, and is buried at Mt. Tabor Cemetery in Macon. She used to take me around Macon county as a teen and tell me family stories. I was a budding journalist and wrote it all down even at that age!
