|Donna Willison Head||RE: Cleveland Clay Comer|
It was my honor to his memory. I was raised in Antlers but left in 1969 and just now moved nearby. All of my family is in the Antlers Cemetery.

|C Wilson||Minnie Comer ~ Forest Grove|
I see you've been waiting a long time for a photo of a marker for Minnie Comer; and I wish I could have helped; but ... alas ... the only Comer that I found at Forest Grove was A L Comer (1880-1911), a relative perhaps.
FYI ... since you are unsure about a d/o/d, I did a little online research on Minnie Comer ... trying to find a clue. I don't know if it's the same person, or not; but there was a recorded death of a premature infant in Fort Worth, Tarrant Co, Texas, on September 18, 1912; and the mother's name was Minnie Comer.

Laurie- I noticed John's page needed the stone pic when I posted Ina's so your request has already been filled :-) I had remembered where the stone was located in the cemetery and stopped by before the ice storm! Was happy to do this for you. Good luck in your searching.

She is not a relative of mine.
If I were you, I would attempt to locate and call or write her son and daughter who are listed in the obituary as living in her area:
"son Lee and Joan White, Ardmore; a daughter and son-in-law, Janie and David Horton, Ardmore."
Anywho.com lists these:
Lee F White
298 Okie Rd
Springer, OK 73458 (small town near Ardmore)
David J Horton
313 Hc #72
Ardmore, OK 73401
If those fail, contact the Marietta Church of Christ, of which she was a member, for help.
Good luck, Jean

Thank you so much for the Turner photo, but there must have been a glitch because there are two of them. Would you please delete one - you are the only one who can. Thanks Laurie, here is the page: http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=31442053

Just had her in my cemetery book for that county.
Anyone else you'd like me to look up named Comer?

There were only 5 graves used out of the 10 the rest were vacant. The clerk told us that when the cemetery was first started they sold in 10 site blocks. She said if people were passing thru and needed to bury someone they still had to buy 10 sites. There is also another cemetery just a short distance from Lakeview called Pairie View.

The Comer family had 8 or 10 grave sites. They were all together in Block 22 Lot 24. Those were the only five we found and we did search for more (online). The Marietta City Clerk was really helpful. She is in the process of identifying all graves and putting them into a program on the City Computer. Thank you for your note. My wife and I are retired and travel in a motorhome. We have just recently gotten into this and enjoy it very much.

You are welcome for the picture. I do remember it said Mother at the top of it. I will drive back over there and take another picture of it and see if I could get a better one.

I was able to get the photos of the Worel monuments for you yesterday. I have a lot more than the ones I posted. I can send them to you by e-mail if you want. I also found Anna Worel who was not on the site. She was buried next to Joseph V, Arthur and Emil. If you want that picture, I'll be glad to send it to you.
