The picture I have is for Wm. Dykes BUT the dates are 1857-1941. This seems to be the only Wm. Dykes in this cemetery.

Thanks, Judy. You're so right and
the Easters have been a real intrigue.
Maybe it's the name "Champion," I don't
know! I received some information on a
line of black Easters which may have
their genesis to when the Easter slaves
were freed. I understand many didn't have
a real identity so took on the surname of
their former owners.

Thanks so much for posting the picture of Fred Green's tombstone - I'm still working on Eva, but I'll let you know. I have ordered her obituary so that will tell us for sure. I appreciate it so much!

THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!
Having this information on my mother's sister is very important to our family. My mother was ill and not able to travel from Phoenix to Jacksonville for the services.
God Bless you for doing this for us!

Yes, I have looked at the multiple photos and love it! Thank you. :) I've already added the inscriptions to their memorials. I'm especially appreciative of the close ups of my Great Grandfather's United Methodist Clergy emblem on his headstone and the close-up of my Uncle James Clyde's Veteran emblem. Very nice of you to include both.
I'm glad the care taker was able to assist you.
May God Bless and Keep You as well.

Judy, just wanted to welcome you to the website.
I hope you have as much fun as I have. There are so many caring people that volunteer for the website I called them "angels that walk amoungst us". I do not contribute as much as I would like too, like the other fine people that take their time to fulfill photos requests.

Genevieve was my Dad's 1st Cousin. Genevieve's father and my Dad's mother were brother and sister. I only met Genevieve once when I was really little and then once she and Bill visited my parents when I was a teenager and could have really 'cared less' at that age about relatives. I remember that my Dad thought a lot of Genevieve.
The Brewer family that I am researching, off and on, is my very significant other's family. His line works back to Howell Cobb Brewer (1790 NC - 1886 KY) and Nancy Louisa Short (1793 NC - 1843 TN). Is this your Brewer line as well? It's a small world - ya never know!

Judy, You are so welcome. I have lived in Austin for 50 years and had never been to the Texas State Cemetery. Because of your request I visited it today and found it a most rewarding experience. So I should be thanking you!

Thank you for sending me the photos. I am sorry you are having problem uploading them. I can resize them for you and you can try to upload them again if you want me to. Or, I can attach them and put that you took the photos. Either way, I am so glad you took the photos.
