RE: Charles M McKee
See, when I had that little story dictated to me by one of the McKee kids, it was before I found out he true story from Rick and his sister. And I forgot to remove the wrong one! Dangit! Thanks for catching it. Charles was without the middle name and when he enlisted, they asked him for an initial so he made it up (M).

Terie, can you please add this bio to my husbands great grandfather? I have photos to add as well.

Thanks,

Charles is buried at the National Veteran's Cemetery (Fayetteville, Arkansas) in the same plot as his wife, Etta.

Charles married Martha Etta Marler in Douglas, Missouri in 13 Mar 1904 and later they migrated to West Fork, Missouri where they retired.

Spanish-American War: Pvt Charles McKee served in the Army from 12 Apr 1899 to 23 Jun 1902 as part of the 20th Kansas Volunteer Infantry "Fighting 20th", Regiment 22, Company K in the Spanish and the Philippine Wars (in the battle of the Philippine Insurection). He was discharged at Angel Island, San Francisco, California in 1902.

Hi Terie. Can you add below to Etta's bio? Thanks!

Etta is buried at the National Veteran's Cemetery (Fayetteville, Arkansas) in the same plot as her husband, Charles who served in the Spanish American War.

Etta and Charles were married on 13 Mar 194 in Douglas, Missouri and eventually migrated to Washington County, Arkansas where they retired in West Fork.

Hi Terie. Sorry it took so long to get back to you. I think we spoke before. You are related to my husband, Ricky Dale McKee.

Hi Terie, I haven't given up looking. I have not had a chance to get over to either the Olde St. Mary's nor the New St. Mary's cemeteries yet (the latter one being rather large). I will let you know as soon as I have either found something or not.

Good news - going in person to the office they somehow located his grave site and I took a photo today but will post it later tonight. Glad you could provide more info that he was definitely there. Linda

I called the office and they said they looked under Anthony, Robert and Bobby but if you want I can try again in person. I already removed the photo request but if you will give me a few days I will be going to the cemetery soon. Linda

Your photo requests
Terrie, I havw attempted three times to claim your requests. However, there must be a bug in the system, somewhere. The "CLAIM" icon is dim and each time that I click on it, nothing happens. Generally, if someone has already claimed your requests, the requests have the name of the claiming person noted but in the case of your requests, there appears to be an issue. In addition, I have received the same email request four times and the result is the same each time.

Kindest regards,

T.C. Burns
